What a great weekend we had at the Piqua Appleseed. Although warm on Saturday, it really wasn't a bad day weather wise. We did have a rain shower mid-afternoon that lasted exactly the length of the second and third strike; then we uncovered the rifles and resumed shooting.  Good improvement was seen when the evening Red Coat was shot and hits were recorded. 

Sunday was a glorious day, sunshine with temperatures in the mid 70's, low humidity, and a light breeze. We lost a few shooters due to Sunday commitments, but still had a wonderful group of Americans remaining.

Two new riflemen were added to the honor roll on Sunday, Doug shot a 224 on his AQT, and Randy scored 214. Also, two riflemen reconfirmed their status with Bill shooting a 215, and Trent a 220, congratulations!

We had some fun mid afternoon shooting the star target with teams of four shooters, then finished the day with a couple more AQT's before the final Red Coat target. One shooter cleared the Red Coat and two more shooters missed clearing by only one shot. Great improvement was seen throughout the weekend.

Glad to hear that the rain Sat was not a problem. Looks like Piqua had another great shoot. Wish I could have been there.
