Upper Susitna Shooters Association Range Talkeetna Alaska

We had folks from all over Alaska, and even one from Washington State, step up and drink from the Appleseed Marksmanship and History fire-hose of instruction.

Twenty four fine American Patriots know very well what they are about.

The weather was perfect for Alaskans. Temperatures in the mid 50s - 60s, some rain, some sun, and most important…very few mosquitoes!

Fine Young Americans earn the Luther Blanchard patch

Three Rifemen patches were earned and blessed with Concord River Water!

Our new Alaska motto; "Shoot Like a Girl if You Can!"

Several Patriots are very close to earning the patch. No doubt we will have many new Riflewomen & Riflemen from this group at our next Marksmanship clinic.

Thanks to all our dedicated Alaska Instructors and especially Shoot Boss fisherdawg!

"Well at least they all didn't get bayoneted..."

If men were angels, no government would be necessary. If angels were to govern men, neither external nor internal controls on government would be necessary. (James Madison)

"Young man, what we meant in going for those Redcoats was this: we always had governed ourselves and we always meant to. They didn't mean we should."
(Captain Levi Preston, of the Danvers militia, at age 91, remembering the day)

That it is an indispensable duty which we owe to God, our country, ourselves and posterity, by all lawful ways and means in our power to maintain, defend and preserve those civil and religious rights and liberties, for which many of our fathers fought, bled and died, and to hand them down entire to future generations.  Suffolk Resolves, September 9, 1774, attributed to Dr. Joseph Warren
