Riflewoman Kaleigh Wotring is looking for some help in a worthy cause:

25 September
1000 - 1700 shoot
0700 for setup
Cleaned up by 1800

I'm looking for:

Safety officers (both on the line and to assist checking firearms to be brought to the line)
Score keepers
Parking help (directing people to parking)
BBQ cooks
Set-up/tear down help

*safety officers for this purposes don't have to be certified or whatever it is that you do to be and official - but, Dale would like to know who they are and know them, so my pool of people "qualified" is reduced :).

I'm also looking for shooting steel and one of those things that you use to make sure your firearms are safe - they are like a long tube thing.  I don't know the name.

Let me know what folks think!!

My contact info:  907-727-8986, kaleigh@alaskaveterans.org

Please count me IN!

I looked at the veterans museum web site, and found no mention of this event, so I'm not too clear on what is planned, but whatever it is, I'll do what I can.

I have reason to believe Dale (I assume we are talking about the Rangemaster) will accept my qualification as a Safety Officer.  ;)

I have three steel targets (two 10 inch circles and one 18 inch (wide) by 24 inch (tall) rectangle). My steel is not rated for centerfire rifle, but can handle 22's and non-magnum handguns all day long.
As to the species of exercise, I advise the gun.  While this gives a moderate exercise to the body, it gives boldness, enterprise, and independence to the mind.
Games played with the ball, and others of that nature, are too violent for the body, and stamp no character on the mind. --Thomas Jefferson

On second thought.... Are we supposed to reply here, or email Kaleigh? :slap:

On a Sunday? I'm there.   Just curious where "there" is.  A few more details would be awesome.
Pretty sure Dale will accept my credentials, since he paid for them, just sayin...

Hello all!

So sorry for the confusion.  I now have a flyer and a link posted on the website.

You can visit http://alaskaveterans.org/shoot-registration.html for details and to register.

Slowpoke and Scott - if you are still available, it would be great to have you RSO.

Any other folks available, I'll need help with set-up, registration, BBQ, scoring, prizes, crowd control, and tear down.

Please let me know if you are interested!!  kaleigh@alaskaveterans.org or 727-8986 (text or call)
