The weather held off for a beautiful event in all ways imaginable.

With 12 students on the line we had 5 new Riflemen and 1 requalification, just a great event to have had.

Saturday saw clouds most of the day, slight breeze, pleasent, this really helps for people to stay focused on what need to be done.

Everyone came with a great attitude and a desire to learn what we have to offer.

Plus we gained a new Orange Hat, Chris accepted the responsibility to teach others our program, his back ground is very extensive both in military and the civilian world, he will be a great assett to New York. He also was one of our New Riflemen, not only that but it was his first AQT shot for the weekend with a score of 225. Outstanding Job Sir.

For another anouncement, Ed took the Blue Hat, This man is and has been a joy to work with now and in the past, he shoots with an old Winchester single shot, bolt gun, manual cocking and can shoot rifleman score at will, one year I offered him a loaner but he said this will be his rifle choice again and it was, simply wonderful to witness, smooth, diliberate, accurate. Thanks for asking to help with helping others. We have a great community around here. I feel very comfortable with Ed at our shoots he has a very good back ground being a first responder EMT Paramedic, what could be better at any shoot. Thank you Sir.

Our one day student Nick had never shot before, but that did not keep him from doing an outstanding job. At 14 yrs old, he showed an outstanding dedication to learning and having a great time. His application of fundimentals when taught, was so nice to see. His attention to detail was Outstanding, he was very safe, Great attitude, his groups greatly improved throughout the day. I hope he can make it back in the future.

Another young man that made this shoot a great success was Julian at 14 yrs old as well, was very pleasent, safe attentive and a great shot at the KD line as well, going from 25yds to 100yds with first shots on target was a high light of his day I believe, he shot with his father, doesn't get any better that. Both are more than welcome to come again.

Then we have Dan, at 15 yrs old, he cleaned the red coat and also shot Rifleman on his 4th AQT and it was his first Appleseed, his grandfather was at our shoot a 4 or 5 years ago and this weekend we met Dan his father Barnaby and he also shot rifleman as well with a 210 on his first AQT on Sunday, he recieved the customary North Bridge water from his son Dan, the full 16 ozs. that is. It was an awsome sight to have so many family groups on the line.

And for our repeat appleseeder young man, we have, Micheal, at 12 yrs old he is a joy to have with us, he is also a Junior Rifle Program student here at Burlington Flats. Always comes with a smile and a hand shake and an offer to help with what ever needs to be done.
his groups are very good at 25yds and he really excells at KD and loves hitting steel and printing on paper at distance with a .22rf. with a break down 10/22 and no sling swivels, we zip tie some on for saturday portion and at KD when he got into prep for the 100yd target his zip tie broke and he drove on to whack steel as if nothing was a problem such a Great young man, see you on Tuesday night.

Matt from Pompey, NY shot another rifleman score out of gate on Saturday, hes our requalification student and is a pleasure to have with us, I am glad he comes to this shoot, and he does great at KD as well, you Sir, are more than welcome here any time. He shot multible scores by the way 223, 229, 219.

Joe who has been to another Appleseed in Pa, prior to this one, and fron New Jersey, came in on Friday when I was setting up the range and we did a little shooting together, I was sighting in rifles and helping him out with a few techiques and what do you know, His first AQT on Sunday was a 235, followed by a 214, 229, 238, Outstanding my friend, he also became a club member. Do try to get back soon so we can shoot together again. Hope your drive home was safe and uneventful.

Nathan did great on both ranges as well, taking his .22 to 100 and 200 yds on The KD range in 12 to 15 mile an hour winds noless, and connected at both distances pretty nice position and NPOA, Great job.

Matt and Micheal D, from our area here were nice to have with us, a couple of buddies going to a shoot, their groups improved and did well at KD too. Matt shot a really nice sporterized 1903 a family heirloom and did well for his Battlesight Zero at 200 very cool, you guys are welcome back anytime and they are club members as well.

And Patrick who came with Barnaby and Dan was not to be out done he poted a score of 212 on his 2nd AQT of his first Appleseed event, Great job Patrick hope to see you again.

This was a very exciting group of students, saftey was outstanding, very attentive, good humor, wish we could do this next weekend with everyone that was here.

I mentioned this to all of you before we parted ways on Sunday, I would like to say again, Thank you All so much for making this shoot a very enjoyable event to shoot boss.
If any of you are up to a range day when our schedules permit, I am more than willing to set up alot of targets on our KD range and have even more fun.

I would also like to Thank The Burlington Flats Fish and Game Club for hosting our event, and the use of the classroom and facilities.

Thank you

This was a great appleseed to be a part of.  It is always a pleasure to work with the BFlats crew.  The shooters who came out this weekend had great teachable attitudes and were soaking in not only the rifle instruction but also the history that was presented.  That quality of the people we get at Burlington never fails to impress me.

All the shooters saw improvements in their scores and those who attain riflemen yet are well on their way.

I've been trying to add in pictures that Randi took of the event.  I haven't had too much luck but here are some links

Thanks for your feed back, it was a nice shoot, 50% riflemen, not bad.
But that's not the important thing is it.
There were a lot of good things that happened at this shoot, everyone heard the storie of our country and they all shot on our KD range, what could be better.
Home range shoots really are something special, when people drive over 4 hrs away to come here I feel great. I know they are chasing more than a patch, I like to think that they are chasing an awakening, an awakening to our country's proud history and our future.
Am glad all could make it this year.
One orange hat was issued and one blue hat as well, let's see what next year brings.
