Eleven outstanding patriots, including two youth shooters, came together at the NRA Headquarters range to improve the marksmanship skills as well as their knowledge of our forefathers' sacrifices on that fateful day in April 1775.

Due to range availability, Day 1 at NRA was an abbreviated 4 hour session.  Students quickly absorbed the course of instruction, showing steady improvement throughout the evening.  Because of the students' quick grasp of the material, we were able to get through to the seated demo before shooting the closeout Red Coat target.

Momentum continued on Tuesday, with the students continuing to show improvement.  By the end of the day, three of the students qualified to wear the Rifleman patch, but everybody walked away with bettered marksmanship and an appreciation of the sacrifices of the colonial New Englanders that day.

"Responsibility is a unique concept... You may share it with others, but your portion is not diminished. You may delegate it, but it is still with you... If responsibility is rightfully yours, no evasion, or ignorance or passing the blame can shift the burden to someone else. Unless you can point your finger at the man who is responsible when something goes wrong, then you have never had anyone really responsible."

Great event.  I can't say enough good things about the assistance and hospitality of the NRA Headquarters range staff.
It was a pleasure to work with the shooters who fought thru the DC traffic and stayed on the ball from beginning to end.
