All I can say is WOW!
The first shoot of the year in a brand new venue. This morning (Sat) started out as one of the most beautiful days we have had all year. Temps at start were in the 60's, and almost peaked near 70. Wind was steady for Wyoming but not bad. Thirteen relatively new shooters showed up for a day of instruction. Several kids (absolute newbies) along with their parents dove into the pool of marksmanship. This group included 2 families of 4ea. After the pledge and safety briefing this group dove into the squares. We spent most of the day getting sighted in but, eventually reached the AQTs. Good groups, and lots of fun.  Glad to have our instructor crew show that they still have what it takes. Thanks to: Rasputin, Pewpewpew, cricket, rocket, for helping M1bzrk run a great event. Please add your comments and pictures here.

As colonial shooter said we had a great shoot.  Very gratifying since it was the first here in Saratoga.
Of course Sunday was not as balmy as Saturday: the rain was pretty light, but fast driving and we had to replace target backers a couple of times.  Luckily we had good cover and the wind was mostly at our back.  It did not develop into a Winterseed which is possible in Wyoming this time of year.  Despite the weather, we did manage 6 AQTs on Sunday, along with 2 Redcoats, more sighter squares and the Memorial Volley
Ages of the shooters ranged from 9 to 57 and all were extremely safe.  We had 12 preregistered,
11 of whom showed up and one walkon, for a total of 12 shooters on Saturday.  One family had to get back to Rock Springs, and so we had only 8 on Sunday to tough it out.  It was great to see 5 ladies and 5 aged 9 to 18 at the event.  They all did very well.  We had quite a mix of rifles: Ruger, Mossberg, and Remington 22s, several ARs and one SKS.

We were not able to award any Rifleman patches, but all progressed greatly and Ben scored 195 with a Ruger takedown 10/22.  Stock sights and no sling.  Fully expect him to make it next time.
Everyone paid attention and you could see it as their scores improved.  Well done, folks, and thank you for your attention to safety!

Thanks to the Saratoga Gun Club for hosting us.  I hope we can do it again here.
Thanks to Andy who stopped to see what we were up to and generously donated a brick of 22s to the program.
Thanks to our Regional Coordinator for helping out.  Sage advice always welcome!
Thanks to Miz Cricket, Rasputin, Pewpewpew and rocket.  Great instructors and much appreciated.
Thank you all.

Forgot to thank colonial shooter for supplying food for instructors for the weekend and Dr Peggy for cooking same.  Thanks to both of you.
