Proverbs 22:3  -  A prudent person foresees danger and takes precautions. The simpleton goes blindly on and suffers the consequences.

"Far better is it to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even when checkered by failure... than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy, nor suffer much, because they live in a gray twilight that knows not victory or defeat".

First off, thanks to everyone who took the time to spend it with us on this special Patriots Day weekend.

You braved the Saturday morning winds; Between the sunscreen and dust, we all looked like sugar cookies by the end of the day. I'm still cleaning dirt out of my ears.

...and you returned on Sunday for more punishment... a rifleman persists.

Everyone was in good spirits, trying hard to better their marksmanship.  Everyone kept a positive attitude and worked hard.

Congratulations to John Appledorn our newest Rifleman at Corona.  John had a smile on his face all weekend. So did everyone else, but Johns was a bit wider on Sunday.

Alex owes Serina a date of her choosing.  We hope you get on the forums and let us know where you decided to go.

We hope you all had a good time and enjoyed the history.  Please pick up a copy of Paul Revere's Ride by David Hackett Fischer. It's only $12.57 on Amazon and this book will change your life.  Skip the first ~70 pages, as they are pretty dry. Get to the events of April 19th, 1775.  Read on and be inspired. You're life will be forever changed.

You can do great things if you put your mind to it and clock the hours (practice).

We hope to see you all again in June (11th and 12th) to work on getting your rifleman patch.  Continue to practice in May. We hope to make many of you rifleman in June.

Take care and let us know what you thought of the shoot. The good, the bad and the ugly.  Tell us your story and inspire us all to return in June.

Take care.

"The Nation that makes a great distinction between its scholars and its warriors will have its thinking done by cowards and its fighting done by fools."  An excerpt from The Peloponnesian War, by Thucydides

"Necessity is the plea for ever infringement of human freedom. It is the argument of tyrants; it is the creed of slaves." - William Pitt, 1783

"... in other words, whether the parliament can legally take money out of our pockets, without our consent. If they can, our boasted liberty is but "Vox et praeterea nihil." A sound and nothing else." - John Dickinson [Continental Congressman from Pennsylvania, Signer of the Constitution], Letters from a Farmer in Pennsylvania to the Inhabitants of the British Colonies - Letter II
