Maximize your Appleseed energy to make this program grow, and help fill the empty spots

Although we arrived to a chilly morning in Glen Helen, somewhere in the low 40's, we were joined by 9 fine Americans that were ready and willing to learn about Marksmanship and Heritage. Paul, Brian

and his son Kaden and also Mike, had been to an Appleseed before. Brian and Scott and there boys, Daniel, Tanner and Cody were first timers, but they all absorbed instruction throughout the day,

especially Cody who had never fired a rifle before. We went through the Saturday instruction and completed one AQT. I had found out that Brian had already shot a Rifleman score and had attended

another Appleseed, so I approached him about becoming an Instructor. He said he was interested. Sunday morning greeted us with more chilly temperatures and a pretty good wind, but we just bundled

up and began Sunday instruction. Brian was presented an Orange IIT hat first thing in the morning and he began to help run the line and instruct. Jim, a friend of Brian, show up a little later in the

morning but was brought up to speed rapidly. In fact, after his second AQT, Jim posted a 214 for our first Rifleman score of the day. At lunch we presented him with a patch as he had to head back to

Arizona. Paul turned in a respectable 219 and became our second Rifleman score. Everyone showed great improvement throughout the day and when the dust had settled we had Tanner qualifying at

Marksman level with a score of 130. We also had folks qualify as Sharpshooter, Mike - 194, Kaden - 186. Keep on practicing guys and we will see you earn patches at the next Appleseed….remember to

dry fire practice! A Rifleman Persists! At lunch time we handed out Youth Patches and at the end of the day we presented Paul with his Rilfeman Patch and he immediately asked for and received an

Orange IIT Hat. Overall, it was a very productive weekend. It was good meeting you folks and I hope to see you at an Appleseed again! Be sure to post your pictures and comments here.  A big thank you

to RR Hartley and Brian for helping with instruction.
If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom,go home from us.We ask not your counsels or arms.Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you.May your chains set lightly upon you and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen. Thanks to all of you that came to the Glen Helen shoot, it is all about you and the value to you. It was great to see all the young guys. I work with the youth at the range twice a month. The youth are our future. It was great to see Bob 210 again. It is always a pleasure to hear him teach, from the heart. Congratulations to Brian and Paul and thanks for joining the ranks to help promote such a worthy cause. Hope to see you soon at another event. Everyone please remember to bring a friend with you to the next event. The LORD be with you all!
