As I understand we have photos that need posting, I thought I would jump in and get this AAR started. This instructor was not able to get to the shoot until Sat. afternoon so I missed some of the usual Saturday morning events but by the time I arrived it looked like things were well under control and our shooters were on their way to becoming marksmen. The range conditions were very soggy from days of heavy rain and venturing down to the target line was a rubber booted affair. A pathway of wooden pallets helped somewhat but it was still messy. A covered and concrete firing line keep the shooters mostly dry so it could have been worse and the weather for the shoot turned out to be very nice.

We had an unusually high number of very young or inexperienced shooters and our instructors really earned their keep. The whole group showed great progress though and absorbed the teaching of both marksmanship and history like a sponge. By the end on Sunday we were most gratified to have done something for Lady Liberty. I will leave this post for others to add their comments and photos. Stay tuned because there will be more shoots at this location in 2016.
The American Constitution is remarkable for its simplicity; but can only suffice a people habitually correct in their actions, and would be utterly inadequate to the wants of a different nation.  Change the domestic habits of the Americans, their religious devotion, and their high respect for morality, and it will not be necessary to change a single letter in the Constitution in order to vary the whole form of their government. - Francis Grund 1837
