Nine Patriots enjoyed perfect weather, a great venue, solid staffing and a safe event. Would be great to fill the firing line, but the ones who did come out were great.

We had father and son - Jim and James, who both enjoyed serious improvement throughout the weekend.

Oggy came out on Saturday and did well - always a pleasure sir.

Todd and Ian came down from the Orlando area. Ian made a lot of progress and Todd made score with a 212, then filled out his "IIT 0" in order to step up to instructing. I will submit the paperwork today and the instructor section of the forum will open up to him soon. Todd, you are also now eligible to attend the instructor-only known distance clinic near Tallahassee in November - send me a PM if you are interested and I'll get you signed up.

Low and behold, John and Frank rolled up as walk-ons Sunday - great to see you both and my condolences to the Deuce and a Half.  :'(

It was a pleasure to meet each of you and I hope we meet again soon. Hernando Sportsman's Club has an event on Oct 31/ Nov 1 (we'll knock off early on Sat so everyone can get home in time to pass out treats).

Insanemom, My family really did appreciate you. You made them feel welcome and help them understand what was  going on.
Appleseed really does attract the best people. Jim, you should really be proud of James. He did a great job , a perfect example of how a kid can have fun and still stay within the rules.
Thanks again all for another great eye opening weekend, cant wait to see you all again.

KDC - one of the perks of becoming an instructor. Starts with a class on long range shooting - then out to the range where we place paper and steel at knowed distances from 100 - to max range available. There really is nothing else like banging steel at 600 yards+. Boom!..........Crack! ............ Thwack! Hit! Easy second from muzzle report to hit on steel. You can see target move instantly on a hit, but sound travels so much slower, it takes time to come back to the ear.

This is an Instructor Know Distance event. It is open to only Appleseed Instructors.
Range Fees for this event are:   
$20/event. Host members exempt
Payable at the range on the day of the event.
This is the amount the range requires per student and is not part of your instruction fees paid here. Please be prepared to pay this part at the event.
Schedule: Sat 8:30am-5:00pm, Sun 8:30am-4:00pm (as conditions permit)
