I'm considering camping on the range Saturday night, now that the weather looks to be AWESOME! Anyone else interested? Might even bring my grill if it's more than just myself.
"We have always looked upon men as a set of beings naturally free - that a people can never be divested of those invaluable rights and liberties which are necessary to the happiness of individuals, to the well-beings of communities or to a well regulated state, but by their own negligence, imprudence, timidity or rashness. They are seldom lost, but when foolishly forfeited or tamely resigned." ~Jonas Clarke

I may just bring the grill either way, if it's ok with the range. If you guys want, we can throw some brats or other meat on the grill for the instructor dinner instead of going out. I sent an email to the range yesterday and will call back tomorrow to make sure it's ok.

I've been Glamping with Three'oEight. I can tell you he stays up late, and when he does go to sleep, he sleeps with his mouth open and snores loudly; but he also doesn't wake up when you draw on his face with a magic marker. So overall, I'd highly recommend camping with him.

I might have to change venues and bring all my color markers!   ;D

Double checked with Vince and received permission both to camp and to grill. I'll be bringing sausages and beans to go on the grill. If you want to throw something on of your own, feel free. :)

Nothing in the world can take the place of Persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan 'Press On' has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race.

The weather was awesome and once I got the bugs under control, there was nothing but the sound of wild turkeys, various other varmints and the occasional pack of coyotes throughout the night. I set up my tent right on the firing line and even brought my own running water. Now, I just to simplify the camping gear to the bare minimum so I can setup/takedown in a matter of minutes.
