This was a 2 day KD event on one of the nicest weekends in Byers. It seemed like the wind was going to provide a challenge at first but ended up being just enough to demonstrate how much a 5-10 mph wind can affect a shot at 300-400 meters (and how quickly it can change direction). Near the end of the event the shooters had a chance to shoot out to 550 yards.

This fun group of shooters came with quite a variety of rifles as well as great learning attitudes. It was an exciting learning experience for the group to see how come-ups and Fred's simple wind rule really work!

Thanks to the class for attending this weekend - and as always to the team of instructors that worked to make this a successful shoot  O0
I have but one lamp by which my feet are guided, and that is the lamp of experience.

My favorite part of the weekend was Karl's smile when we trucked downrange to check out his 500 meter target. It was the first time he had ever shot at that distance with his AR! Iron sights that is. :D
As usual we had a safe and fabulously fun time.
First pic- another perfect Colorado Appleseed sunrise
