We need volunteers in sales, marketing, PR, IT, and general "running of an organization."
Maximize your Appleseed energy to make this program grow, and help fill the empty spots
on the firing line!  An hour of time spent at this level can have the impact of ten or a
hundred hours on the firing line.  Want to help? Send a PM to Monkey!

Taos NM has a new local private range as a DAR!  Our friends Greg and Pam Busick have graciously opened up their property for several 2 day Appleseeds this year.  Its a convenient half hour drive from Taos.

Greg moved all our gear to the line with his trusty Kubota tractor.

This was a wet Spring and we were threatened with wind and torrential rains throughout the weekend.  Five patriots came out for this event, including Gayle, a lady from Durango Colorado.  I ended up telling the 2nd and 3rd strike while we were all holding onto our two EZ-ups!  We ended the first day early b/c of rain and wind, but we got all the positions and strikes done. Sarducci (aka Dutch) helped coach, demo positions, clear the line and tell DOM stories.

Day two was dry, but we had wind from all compass points!  When the wind wasn't blowing, the 'Green Sage Gnats' were biting!  Students had to balance dealing with the heat versus being bitten. (note to self: bring Bug Blaster Spray to the next event!)

Despite the challenges, we got two riflemen:  Brian with a solid 232 and Charles, using a tube-fed 22.  Charles scored 228, 230, 218 and 213... and this was his first Appleseed!  WTG Charles!

It's so nice to have a range close to home!  Thanks everyone for coming out!

Our next event is July 13-14 and then we have a Ladyseed August 8-9th.
