This event kicks off our third year at the shiny new Northern Arizona Shooting Range just East of Flagstaff, Arizona.  As usual, those of us who live way downhill in the low hot sections of the state fully enjoyed coming up to celebrate marksmanship and history among the cool pines.

Eight shooters on the line for this one, half of them under the age of 15; from Tucson, the Phoenix area, and even Gallup, NM.  All with eager, teachable attitudes!

Unfortunately, the summer monsoon seems to be starting a little early this year, and we had to clear the line and  sit in the vehicles to wait out lightening-spitting thunderheads that rolled through late Saturday morning and again way too early Saturday afternoon.  (Appleseed may go on regardless of wind, rain, sleet, and snow, but we don't tease lightening by standing on high open ground holding long steel rods.)  We lost a lot of time on Saturday because of this, but fortunately made it back up on Sunday.

This is the place for pictures, questions, comments, feedback, and discussion on the June 13-14 Appleseed event in Flagstaff, AZ.
(The pictures I took will be posted soon.)
