Some great weather and great group of shooters made our comeback to NHSC a weekend to remember.

It had been a few years since our last Appleseed there and many of the attendees were club members, including a couple of return trying hard rifleman. They all came prepared to learn and much improvement was seen throughout the day. After lunch and the first strike the participants accepted the POI at the drink from a fire hose pace so many others have. The second and third strikes were interspersed with a few AQT's before the close of the day.

A large improvement in ability was seen by the redcoat count, am/pm as follows: 100 yard: 4/1, 200 yard: 0/4, 300 yard: 1/1 and 400 yard: 0/2 with one target cleaned in the afternoon and 0/2 for the shingle hit.

Sunday we started with less shooters than the day before, but no less enthusiastic. During the course of the day we netted our only Rifleman, Sal, with a 219 and backing it up with a 212. Eric, Ray and John pushed it hard with scores in the high 180's thru the low 200's. There was much improvement by all in attendance.

The Sunday redcoat final was as follows: 100 yard: 3/2, 200 yard: 1/3, 300 yard: 1/2  and no one hitting at 4, but 4 shingle hits! Nice job everyone.

The shooters had a great attitude, all very willing to accept the POI's. Our IT crew of Heavyduty77, working as an SBIT, edleit and BCodes made the weekend go exceptionally well. Couldn't have been better.

A big thank you to New Haven Sportsman's Club for use of the facility. Located in south central Connecticut it's close to I95 and several areas along the coast. We look forward to more events there in the future.

riprat

And you had a 14 year old Meghan hit the shingle twice on Sunday

TOMINCT

Sorry about that riprat, sometimes the numbers get crunched a little too much on the report!

Yes, not only did Meghan do well on the shingle but she gave her next door shooting partner a run for the money at times! ::) ; ;)
