News:

We need volunteers in sales, marketing, PR, IT, and general "running of an organization."
Maximize your Appleseed energy to make this program grow, and help fill the empty spots
on the firing line!  An hour of time spent at this level can have the impact of ten or a
hundred hours on the firing line.  Want to help? Send a PM to Monkey!

Sixteen patriots assembled at the Adair County Sportsmen's Club in Columbia, KY to hear the history of April 19, 1775 and to learn the marksmanship skills of our forefathers.  This was an exceptionally prepared group of shooters - thirteen previous Appleseed attendees and three first-timers showing unbelievable skill on the very first target!  Of the five Riflemen on our line, three requalified on the AQT:  Michael, Ernie, and Michele (she requalified six AQTs in a row).  We also found our new Rifleman on the second AQT on Saturday:  Brian scored an impressive 232 and made it look easy.  Huzzah!

Thanks to Tom from the Adair County Sportsmen's Club who shot with us all weekend.  This facility is fantastic and they were very accommodating to us.

The weather reports were threatening thunderstorms on Saturday but we had only occasional sprinkles.  We were having too much fun to notice or complain.  Sunday brought sunshine, heat, and humidity, so we took multiple hydration breaks and still kept the pace up.  We managed five AQTs (including a rapid-fire AQT) before it was time to wind down.

Please feel free to post comments and suggestions.
