EEEE shot Rifleman on the last AQT of the day on Patriot's Day weekend (and received his baptism with the waters of the North Bridge)...over the last week he has agreed to become part of the Michigan Instructor cadre! Bryan started shooting with us last fall, braved a Winterseed this February and came through in April.

Join me in welcoming EEEE!  He's already signed up for Oscoda June 20-21....the SB for that shoot needs to slap a hat on that man and get him to WORK!

It will be great to meet you up here in the Northeastern Lower.
Welcome aboard.

Can't we all just agree to disagree in a civil fashion while the planet's last, fading hope of liberty and prosperity gets snuffed out?

No. We can't.

Welcome EEEE! Glad to have you as a part of the Michigan Cadre. I look forward to working with you in the future.

But if you are going to stay, I think you will have to give SteelThunder a pair of those spring shoes if he plans on being in any of the pictures.

John

I was actually wondering this myself.

The four "E"s come from my surname, which is an old Dutch word.  Now, just to make things fun, the Dutch don't speak English - so they use the same letter for different sounds, and there are no hints to which you should use.  In the example of my last name, the first pair of Es is pronounced as a hard "A" (like the "A" sound in lane) while the second pair is pronounced as a hard "E".  (like the "E" sound in here).  So it could be read as "Æ" - the latin dipthong [ai] which sounds like the hard "I" sound in like, or like a pirate's Aye.

But then no one would know it was me on the firing line.

So 4Es is probably the best route to take.

EEEE

Thank you all for the welcome!

I'm doing as much reading as I can cram in between college courses so I'll be ready for assisting in June.  I wish I could help out in Watervliet but I have mandatory overtime this weekend.

Oz

Got it.  I'm just glad your name isn't Liinhiir--I would not want to get clobbered!   ;D

I can see I'm going to be learning from you.  First Fata Morgana, now intricacies of Dutch pronunciation.  And you've already been exposed to ST2's patented simplified expanded KD traveling show.  We will have a good time on the trail and do a lot of good work.

Personally, I'm going to pronounce it exactly like my 15 year old daughter would react to a mouse running across her bed
