It was a beautiful Patriot's Day weekend in Beaver Falls, and the "sound of liberty" was a constant background to our Appleseeding.  Thanks to Beaver Valley Rifle and Pistol Club for hosting Project Appleseed for seven years!

The sounds of Americans exercising their Second Amendment right sometimes challenged our instructors, but they overcame it and presented our heritage to a receptive audience.  Marksmanship improved dramatically Saturday, and Scott cleared his afternoon Redcoat.

Sunday began with Ev clearing her Redcoat.  Later in the morning it began to get breezy.  Really breezy, with crosswinds gusting to thirty mph.  That had a negative effect on performance on the AQTs, but Steven and Ethan still managed to re-qualify with a 225 and a 212 respectively.

We moved from the 25 meter Training range to the 200 yard Rifle range at 2 PM, and the students were able to put what they had learned into practice at actual distance.  Fortunately, the move put the wind at our backs, because the wind gusts continued to get stronger throughout the afternoon.  We wrapped up the weekend with the Volley for Liberty at 4PM, and managed to pack up and clear the range before the rain arrived.

It was a weekend of marksmanship and heritage at one of the finest shooting facilities in western Pennsylvania.  It was a great way to celebrate the 240th anniversary of the Shot Heard 'Round the World!

Great weekend EZ3!  Thanks to everyone who attended, instructed, and was a part of another great event.  Beaver Valley Rifle and Pistol Club keeps improving it's already great facilities.  Enjoyed seeing all the shooters improving thru the weekend thru the fantastic instruction provided.  Shooting is a bit of a rare event these days, so getting out any time is good.  Bringing a friend, having great weather, and a group of people who want to be there - priceless.  Thanks to all!

Thanks for posting the pics, bcurfman.

As usual, it was a very well run event with great people, history and marksmanship.
