Telling the stories of April 19, 1775 on Patriot's Day Weekend and firing a volley ....... POWERFUL!

Annapolis, Maryland - We had perfect weather for a change on both days, 19 shooters Saturday and 17 Sunday, that came out to learn more about Marksmanship and American History.

Saturday, we started slowly with sorting out relays but quickly shook the time monkey getting back on track.  Vjornaxx, enthusiastically delivered the First and Second Strikes of the Match to an audience that was very attentive.  We discussed the Broadside and provided copies to all shooters along with Patriot Day Patches. We had three Riflemen re-qualify, Jack M(211), Michael B (223) and Michael M (213).  Many other shooters were knocking at the door with several just needing a little more of a push to qualify as Rifleman.  We were able to get in two AQT's before the end of the day.

Sunday Patriot's Day, following a review and a few sighters, we knocked out 2 AQT's once again with several shooters knocking on the Rifleman door.  We tried a Rapid fire AQT with success.   Shooters preferred Rapid fire so we continued knocking out a total of 4 Rapid fire AQTs.  Sunday, Matt W. (215) Re-qualified and Ricky D. (211), Sean C. (210) and Mark M. (214) became new Rifleman.  In total we had 7 Rifleman for the weekend.  Many of these students repeating multiple times over.  Michael M. High score for the day was 243.  HUZZAH!   We had 5 shooters clean the Red Coats this weekend and earning the Maryland Front Sight Patch.   HUZZAH!

All shooters showed steady progress throughout the weekend with many so very close to becoming Rifleman.  I think we will see several on the firing line again real soon.

Vjornaxx, delivered a meaningful Third Strike of the match and eroyle spoke to 5 significant flags in American History.  10 shooters volunteered to deliver dangerous old men and women using the Appleseed Deck of Playing Cards.  The shooters really enjoyed participating in the event.

The day concluded with Firing a Volley at 4:00 p.m.
