We need volunteers in sales, marketing, PR, IT, and general "running of an organization."
Maximize your Appleseed energy to make this program grow, and help fill the empty spots
on the firing line!  An hour of time spent at this level can have the impact of ten or a
hundred hours on the firing line.  Want to help? Send a PM to Monkey!

Saturday dawned with about 6 inches of snow on the ground, and a layer of ice on the firing pad.  Despite temperatures in the low teens, seven motivated shooters (including five new Appleseeders!) turned up to learn a little about marksmanship and a lot about history.  Our motivated team included 5 instructors (Vjornaxx, FFJim, Flint Locke, IceSage, and WhyWon), so students all got plenty of personal attention.  Morning was a little slow, as we took some long breaks so everyone could get a few minutes in the car or clubhouse to stave off frostbite.  Afternoon got up to a balmy 27 degrees as we rolled into the AQT, resulting in a Maryland's newest Rifleman, Andrew (who shot a 229 on his first AQT...with a bolt action!).  Special mention goes to Erin, who had never fired a rifle before and shot 149 on her first AQT.  Later that afternoon Andrew proved it wasn't a fluke by cleaning the redcoat.  WhyWon took charge of the history throughout, and is well on his way to Red Hat.  Thanks to all the instructors and students for making this a great event!
