It was a bit cold last weekend!

What a great bunch of shooters!  The best any instructor can ask for is to have a bunch of folks making a full-throttle effort to apply the instruction.  Out of the 10 shooters on the Saturday morning Red Coat target, we had 50% that missed the 100 yard target.  But by Sunday PM, everyone was on the target and 5/8 were at 300+.  3 Rifleman were made and we had very little in the way of safety issues.

There was some unexpected equipment education occurring on Saturday.  We had two scopes that needed securing and adjustments to be made to fit the shooter.

The Sac Valley range lengthened the winter hours, so we got in a few extra AQTs and some fun shoots on Sunday.  The weather was cooperative for a December shoot.  A bit muddy, but not too cold, not too wet, and not too windy.

Don't forget that some of the best practice you can get is at home (w/o ammo of course).  Practice those positions while you watch TV or read a book.

I hope y'all come back and finish up what you started.

Another great weekend. Thanks again to my Sac Valley kin for running another fantastic event- and a big thanks to our shooters for coming out, braving the elements, practicing safe handling, displaying great attitudes, and helping to create a wonderful time for all of us.

Congratulations to our December Riflemen! We had some true "naturals" out there.

As always, see you all again next month. :)
