Had a fantastic group Saturday, very safe and followed instruction well. Even our young shooters were well disciplined. Our new IIT0 Dr. Wu brought some of his Chinese shooting club from NC State to our event.
They had a great time and are hook with the program. Had 2 Riflemen requalify and volunteered to take and Orange hats and a daughter of Instructor Rusty_Bucket shot Rifleman, she was visiting from Arkansas and is going back to volunteer.
Sunday, several shooters went to the KD range and verified their BSZ. Thanks to all the instructors for their hard work, to the students for getting off the couch. And to all the young shooters ages 8 to 12 who performed like pros.
Dusty old helmet, rusty old gun,
They sit in the corner and wait –
Two souvenirs of the Second World War
That have withstood the time, and the hate.
Many times I've wanted to ask them –
And now that we're here all alone,
Relics all three of a long ago war –
Where has freedom gone?
Mute witness to a time of much trouble,
Where kill or be killed was the law –
Were these implements used with high honor?
What was the glory they saw?
Freedom flies in your heart like an eagle.
Let it soar with the winds high above
Among the spirits of soldiers now sleeping,
Guard it with care and with love.
I salute my old friends in the corner.
I agree with all they have said –
And if the moment of truth comes tomorrow,
I'll be free, or By God, I'll be dead!

Water being blessed by David Hackett Fischer's book and turning it into Northbridge water. A couple of our Riflemen scored minimum score.

Nice thing about working Appleseeds...you never know what kind of rifles will come out.
