We had great weather for a mid December shoot in West Virginia.  Saturday we had 16 motivated shooters on the line, of those, 13 first timers.  Additionally, The Sea Cadets incorporated Appleseed into their weekend drill program with 12 outstanding young men.

This was the first Appleseed Event at the Leetown Gun Club (Jefferson County Chapter of the Izaak Walton League of America).   The Club has beautiful facilities, great range host and very supportive of the Appleseed program.  We are certainly looking forward to more events in 2015.

Saturday was a full day of instruction ending the day by getting in one AQT, result 2 first time Rifleman Nicholas (218) and Lance (215).   Students were very attentive to the highly motivating history lessons from NavyBowHunter.  We saw incredible improvement amongst all the shooters throughout the day.  We closed at the successful afternoon with 3 shooters clearing the Red Coats. 

Sunday we had 13 highly motivated shooters on the line.  After some instructional review and practicing on an AQT we jumped into the AQT Grind knocking out three AQTs with a total of 4 additional first time Rifleman.  Nicholas continued his progress from Saturday putting up (227, 227, 233), Damian (210), Ryan (220, 213), Aaron (225, 220) and Mike (215).  All of the shooters showed vast improvement from Saturday and many continued to improve as Sunday came to a close.
