When the call went out, 4 hardy Men ages 11 through 70 answered for Liberty at the Effingham County Sportsman's Club. Along with 6 Instructors and various Family members joining to observe - this Group showed persistence in the face of some interesting Illinois weather.

Lyle joined his Grandsons to show them that weather is just a word when he lay down on the newly minted snow and promptly converted it to a nice blend of crusty ice and slush. Then he joined that elusive rank of Rifleman with a 212!

Brady applied the newly learned fundamentals to score a 179 on his AQT and then stepped up to assist in our NPOA demonstration after lunch. Unable to return due to that pesky alternator, we still look forward to seeing you in May - there is a patch in your future for sure.

Nick - Thanks for coming back and remember : Study those handouts and commit to memory the Rules to success. Great improvement from Friday to Saturday - 103 to 133. With 3 different Rifles, now that you have one of your own - work with Grandpa and get those fundamentals down before 2015.

Mason - Starting from the Fundamentals you absorbed the info like a sponge. Then from the Stand to focus the 6-Steps to doing it on your own...great job. That 161 was well earned and with dry-fire (work with that awesome Rifleman Grandpa) - you are well on the path to achieving whatever you desire.

Remember when I asked you to bring up that Instructor or Individual up who taught you the most or influenced you to come out this weekend? Here they are.  "You hold in your hand a piece of American History. The Youth on this patch has his name placed amongst Hero's. In fact he was a Hero himself. The choice was his to join his fellow's upon the Lexington Green April 19, 1775. This is earned by you, not given to you."

Take the History and Heritage you learned this weekend. Share it with your Friends who didn't have someone who believed they could come out and bring them back in May.

Whew, got the attachments working.

Appleseed persists in the snow, in the ice, in the slush, and the next day, on the dry concrete. Silly weather.
Good effort by all hands; no one got frozen, and everyone learned something. One rifleman out of 4 shooters
is a 25% Rifleman rate (with insufficient sample size, hah)

The Effingham County Sportsman's Club is a wonderful facility, KD capable, with a clubhouse with nice plumbing
and an instruction area to boot.

Captions and thoughts:

I would like to thank the Effingham County Sportsman's Club for letting us come and having this event.

GooseGun over and out.
I am convinced that they are mad men, devoid of reason. There is no logic in this place -Me
