News:

We need volunteers in sales, marketing, PR, IT, and general "running of an organization."
Maximize your Appleseed energy to make this program grow, and help fill the empty spots
on the firing line!  An hour of time spent at this level can have the impact of ten or a
hundred hours on the firing line.  Want to help? Send a PM to Monkey!

WB Boyce Council BSA held a shooting sports Camporee 10/18.  Over 100 youth attended the event shooting rifles, shotguns, air guns, bows and tomahawks.  We needed more volunteers and Shooter 30-06, Mrs 30-06 Shooter, Two Clicks Low and Twin Eagles answered the call for help.

The Appleseeds crew ran a 5m Air Gun range giving Scouts a chance to shoot prone and off hand, something we don't do as much as we should in the Boy Scout Shooting program.  It was thought Boy Scouts would resist shooting 'just BB guns' but the enthusiasm of the Appleseeds crew won them over.  I received lots of positive comments from Scouts and Scouters and the rifle range crew reported first timers at the rifle range who had been through   air rifle in the morning performed much better.

In short well done to all

Have your musket clean as a whistle, hatchet scoured, sixty rounds powder and ball, and be ready to march at a minute's warning.
