We need volunteers in sales, marketing, PR, IT, and general "running of an organization."
Maximize your Appleseed energy to make this program grow, and help fill the empty spots
on the firing line!  An hour of time spent at this level can have the impact of ten or a
hundred hours on the firing line.  Want to help? Send a PM to Monkey!

The Old Guide

On Monday we had no shooters signed up, but the weather forecast improved and we had 11 shooters on Saturday. One family came from NY and one from RI because we still have freedom in Maine. All but two shooters were novices. It was a safe and enjoyable shoot. Our youngest was 15 and our oldest 74. I mentioned this during the history.

One lady came back at lunch time to hear the history again. She stayed for the Memorial volley at 3 PM here on the easternmost Appleseed range. She wanted to witness the Memorial Volley. She had tears as she heard the names again. We are reaching the public when they come back for such things. North Country Lady gave the first two strikes.

We had no two rifles alike on the line. I saw my first Ruger bolt rifle with the 10-22 magazine. We had two tube fed rifles. With strong winds we had no new Riflemen this year. The next Appleseed is in two weeks at Monmouth.
Our history is not a list of dates and places. It is a dynamic adventure of freedom and individual courage.
