Appleseed close to Earl's home, only an hour drive on great roads with one five dollar toll. Life is good! ^:)^

Lots of interest by club members in our program and how it was operating, the supporters from the club did lots of great work to make our Appleseed very smooth and still keep their very busy club Saturday in full swing. First time I have ever seen an IIT Appleseed VIP briefer, but PaulW rocked! O0

It was a great day for Appleseed. I'm sorry Flipper and I were only available on Sat. Here's a few pics I got:

And can the second day top the first one? Sure, some new folks, some great weather and of course more Dangerous Ol' Men.

Looks like a great crew and shoot!
BTW, what's an 'IIT Appleseed VIP briefer'?

What a nation has done, a nation can aspire to.
Dr. Jerry Pournelle

Throughout history, poverty is the normal condition of man. Advances which permit this norm to be exceeded — here and there, now and then — are the work of an extremely small minority, frequently despised, often condemned, and almost always opposed by all right-thinking people. Whenever this tiny minority is kept from creating, or (as sometimes happens) is driven out of a society, the people then slip back into abject poverty.

This is known as "bad luck."

One would have to ask the Shoot Boss, but I saw the function. It could have been called the host range liaison escorter. The members of the host range were really liking to come by - photograph and watch, and ask questions. I think with some nice letters to the club president, some sharing of our photos and continued contact this club will be looking to host an Appleseed or two in the future, maybe several times a year.

Or ambassador to the delegation of the...or something. I assigned Paulw, as he had been on admin that morning, to "intercept" and visit with our guests. We had numerous visitors throughout Saturday, so I wanted person to be assigned to catch them as they came by, and get them ear protection, waivers, answer questions as they came by etc.

Excellent range, greats hosts at the Poulsbo Sportsmans Club. Excellent group of shooters. Several new Rifleman. Shooters were really engaged and "switched on" throughout the weekend. Very positive experience for the first time at a new range. Thank you everyone for coming.

First Appleseed for me so no basis for comparison, but this shoot seemed to go really well. I shot like a girl both days (Emily on Saturday, Jane on Sunday). Finished the weekend happy both as a representative of the host club and as a participant. Thanks to all the instructors.

Here's a few of my pictures from the weekend. Thanks to all for such a fun time. Didn't manage to shoot a rifleman score this time, but still learned a bunch, got to practice more, and even with all the failure to extract problems I was having, I still managed to claw my way all the way back up to a 203 on the last AQT of the weekend. Nice venue, almost no rain, and way warmer than the February shoot!

Dang, apparently can't edit posts here. Anyway, the first link is good, and will take you to my flickr group where the pics are. Thought I was going to get all fancy and post a link directly to one of the pics, but I guess not...  :P

Thanks to Earl, R.L., Scramblin and the other instructors for a fun Sunday shoot. Despite tired knees and some equipment problems
cleverly solved by the crew with a hunk of pipe insulation and gaffer tape, I'm proud to have earned the Rifleman patch. Earl kept us
marching to a fast cadence. I sat out the last AQT and took a few pictures of those left standing which I'll try to post here.

Ha, there I am in that top pic, clearing yet another stovepipe.

I loved Jane's outfit, and that beautiful old pump action rifle.
