This is a Great Day that I am being permitted to report on the events of September 15/16, 2012 - The 235 Anniversary of the Battles of Saratoga, and we celebrated the Anniversary with a very nice tribute ceremony Sunday remembering all those who lost their lives from the Revolutionary War to the Current War on Terrorism AND all the Wars in between for OUR Heritage, Freedom and Liberty. A ceremony Bell Rang out three Volleys, and Taps was bugled. Also Sunday after lunch their were a couple Volley's of Cannon FireO0

The weekend was met with very nice weather, and the shooters took advantage of it, all 32 of them, This shoot brought 9 families to the line. Powerful,,, Was great to see the new shooters and returning shooters a like. And to John for coming up from Long Island just for the shoot, THANK YOU.

Was a very nice welcome to have Krisker return to the line AND prove she can still shoot, and shoot very well.... Margaret out shooting her daughter Clare for a change. Caleb out shot his dad Andy a few times, until Andy put a shade on his rear sight.

Jim, Tom B. Dave and Nick all found it to be not as easy as they thought, they left with smiles Sunday night, sore but with smiles.

It was nice Anthony D. behind his shooting sun glasses brought his dad Anthony, and out shot Dad. We put Dad in a loaner and he caught up to Anthony quick.

Luke, Donald , BarrettDan and Aaron, watching their target groups shrink was a beautiful thing. Very nice work.

Doc brought his son Syed, and after lunch Syed improved greatly, he had a large power drink and ice cream to help him. Keep up the practicing...Connor and Liam brought dad Stuart, thank you for returning, Connor and Stuart won out team shoot. And it was nicely done. Was also nice to have Anna return and also Eric. Both enjoying the many different shooting drills we did this weekend.

Nate VP, TC and Tom W., a return family team, wasted no time getting equipment to the line and wanting to shoot. They again polished all their shooting skills and their scores reflected it.

Congratulations New IIT Orange Hats!!!!!!!

The Mrs.

This was a usual SaraSpa shoot.....excellent!!

Stick Mark puts on one heck of a shoot.  The shooters enjoyed themselves and it was wonderful to watch their groups shrink and shrink and the Riflemen numbers increase.

Being the anniversary weekend for the Battles of Saratoga it is a special weekend at SaraSpa.  You can feel the steep of history being so close to the battlefields.

A heck of a weekend to be an American.  It was wonderful to share my time with such great Americans, shooters and instructors alike.

I hope to see you all again on the trail.

On our KD this range only goes out to 200 yards, and we rotated shooters thru. There was one AR15 shooting .223, the rest were .22's, all found our range to be a challege with the swirling winds. But they also found out that IMC works. Nice work by all.

There is a berm on three sides and shooting position that is closed in on three sides. This causes the wind when it comes over the berm to swirl before losing energy. Makes the shooters think!!!!

Throughout her career, it is believed that Annie Oakley taught upwards of 15,000 women how to use a gun. Oakley believed strongly that it was crucial for women to learn how to use a gun, as not only a form of physical and mental exercise, but also to defend themselves.
