We need volunteers in sales, marketing, PR, IT, and general "running of an organization."
Maximize your Appleseed energy to make this program grow, and help fill the empty spots
on the firing line!  An hour of time spent at this level can have the impact of ten or a
hundred hours on the firing line.  Want to help? Send a PM to Monkey!

TOMINCT

A small but enthusiastic group of Americans turned out for the anniversary Appleseed at the Capitol City club in Augusta. New and repeat shooters absorbed instruction on marksmanship and heard the story of the start of the Revolutionary War with equal interest.

Saturday started sunny and the temperature climbed to the low 80's. The students took in the fundamentals and were rewarded with groups that diminished in size throughout the day. It wasn't all that easy as a few rifles showed that not just the students can have problems that can cause displaced shots. Loose sights, action screws and other required parts took some time to sort out as to the cause of the problem at hand. Thanks to Dan for his locktite!

Sunday became cold, windy and damp. Although we were spared the rain that most other Appleseeds had to contend with the shooters did get abused as the day wore on. This however didn't stop Adam from making Rifleman with a strong 220 score! In shirt sleeves yet! Dan backed up his prior RM patch by shooting several RM scores including a high of 238, with a tech sighted bolt rifle nonetheless! Great shooting Dan!

A big thank you goes out to the Capitol City rifle and pistol club for hosting the shoot. The support from the club was great. A very nice facility, easy to get to and covered firing lines for when mother nature decides to act up.

Thanks goes to HM2PAC for his efforts and help, he will be an asset to the Maine crew.

Pics should be up soon. Regards, Tominct.

The Old Guide

Thanks TominCT for supporting Maine once again and bringing yet another DAR on line in Maine. We'll double the number of shoots in Maine this year.
Our history is not a list of dates and places. It is a dynamic adventure of freedom and individual courage.
