..This event was a fine display of a Project Appleseed weekend.  Thank you to South Jersey Shooting Club once again for their hospitality in hosting us.  Thank you to my Wife Pepita for helping me at this shoot.  Thank you to Dude for making the last minute decision to take a six hour ride from Albany, NY to Winslow, NJ to Instruct with me, a good man indeed..

These pictures were done by Thomas Beitz a shooter at our event and a professional photographer, Thank you Tom your pictures speak volumes of our event.. Enjoy.........JW.................

I would like to send my Thanks to you for jumping on a shoot that was noticeably light on instructors, That is what this should always be about, if something needs taken care of, it gets done , 6 or 7 hrs to keeps things running smoothly and safe!!,,,, That is priceless,,,

Missed the gang from Saratoga, too! But, it was indeed a pleasure and an honor to work this shoot. I will strive to have as much passion for and dedication to the program as Josey Wales. Seriously, he is top notch!

Hot sun on Sat and cold rain on Sun---couldn't ask for more diverse conditions. Our shooters hung in amazingly well for the duration, even those who had some physical difficulties with position changes. Nick saw to it that each person was treated at the level of their need. Thus, each shooter improved markedly over the weekend, and expressed a desire to return and try again. That's the technique we need to emulate and the perseverance we seek.

As I made the last minute decision to go, I really thought to myself, "Isn't this something. Me, putting together my gear, securing a room, etc, my wonderful wife releasing me to attend, as well as packing copious amounts of excellent edibles, all taking a couple of hours. What a small effort, really, taking hours to get ready, compared to those who saw the need, dropped what they were doing on a moment's notice, and left home in the middle of the night, and, risking everything, went out to secure OUR freedom."

I thought "They didn't care if they had their cell phone charger, or clean socks, or bottled water sufficient for the journey.

I have to ask myself: "How can I measure up to that?"
