Maximize your Appleseed energy to make this program grow, and help fill the empty spots

Press release sent to local media by Taylor  O0

My name is Mike Palucci, I reside in Frog Creek Township in Washburn
County and I am volunteer Instructor for the Appleseed Project which
entering its third year as a presence in NW Wisconsin.

The Appleseed Project is a 2-day rifle marksmanship and American
Heritage clinic run by the Revolutionary War Veterans Association
(RWVA), a 501.c.3, non-profit, insured organization that is staffed by
volunteer, certified instructors dedicated to reconnecting the
modern-day rifle owners and new shooters, especially the younger
generation, with the traditional heritage of the American Rifleman.

What makes Appleseed unique is combining education in rifleman skills
with the teaching of revolutionary war military history, specifically
the history of that day in April, 1775, when a shot was "heard around
the world."  That was the day the British Regulars set out from Boston
for Lexington and Concord to take the colonists' guns.

Our basic goal is to pass on the Rifleman's skill set, not only within
our generation, but also especially to the younger generation, because
both parents and their children need to be educated and prepared to pass
the heritage of the American Rifleman on to their descendants. Combined
with an entertaining approach to early colonial history appealing to
every freedom-loving American, it is loads of fun.

Appleseed shoots are family-friendly events.  We've had shooters as
young as 12 and as old as 77-moms and dads, new shooters and old-timers.
Our instructors are religious about safety while at the same time
providing a fun and entertaining environment in which to learn.

Since our goal is to pass on shooting skills and the Rifleman's heritage
to those who can do the most with them, individuals under 21 and ladies
of all ages participate in our clinics for $5 and $10 respectively.
Active military members, elected officials and law enforcement officers
(all with ID) shoot for free.

I would like to extend an invitation to you and the other members of the
Superior Tea Party to attend our inaugural 2012 event in Spooner or one
the several others scheduled in NW Wisconsin this year. Flyers and other
information are attached. Please share them with the other members of
your organization.

Please visit our web site, www.appleseedinfo.org
<http://www.appleseedinfo.org> , for additional information about the
Appleseed Project.  As your local Appleseed "boots on the ground"
instructor, I will be glad to answer any questions that you may have.
Please feel free to contact me at any time.

Thank you in advance for your interest in and support of Project
Appleseed. I sincerely hope to see you at one of our 2012 NW Wisconsin
Appleseeds and I am grateful for your "passing the word" about Appleseed
as we are a grass roots organization whose best advertising is word of
mouth.

FOR IMMEDIATE  RELEASE

Project Appleseed Rifle Marksmanship Clinic Offered at Indianhead Rifle and Pistol club Spooner WI on April 21-22 2012. Registration begins at 8am and the clinic will continue until 5:00pm both days.

Project Appleseed is an activity of The Revolutionary War Veterans Association and dedicated to teaching every American our shared heritage and history as well as traditional rifle marksmanship skills. Find out how Marksmanship saved the day on April 19 1775.

Participants are taught fundamental rifle marksmanship skills that allow a Rifleman to be accurate out to 500 yards, with iron sights, rack grade rifle, G.I sling and surplus ammo. Most of the instruction at a Project Appleseed event is conducted on the firing range at 25 meters, at reduced size targets to simulate 100 to 400 yards. Students will learn safe gun handling, fundamental rifle marksmanship skills, and Revolutionary War history.

Fulfill your CMP requirements at Appleseed and be eligible to purchase WWII era rifles directly from the Civilian Marksmanship Program at discounted rates.

Marksmanship Clinic fees: $70 + $10 range fee for men; $10 registration fee for women; $5.00 reg. fee  for youth under 21;  active military free with ID, LEO, and elected officials also free. Fees subject to change.
