It was a beautiful Vegas Valley day that started out a bit chilly but warmed up nicely.  The winds stayed away and we had a great time.... All 4 of us!  Little did our lone shooter know he was going to get a lot of 3 on 1 instruction.  As much as the instructors would like to take credit for his showing, Mathieu singly controlled his destiny.  He'd been dry practicing 5 times weekly at 10 ft targets and it really showed.  He came in blazing and cleared the first Redcoat; his first of 3 cleared Redcoats for the weekend.

Mathieu was a returning Rifleman seeking his patch with an open sighted 10/22.  He'd previously shot a 211 with a borrowed 10/22 with a scope and wanted to shoot the 210 with his Tech-Sighted 10/22; he achieved that and more by shooting 216/232/226 on the Sat and Sun AQTs.

Since additional AQTs weren't going to further Matt's skill, we improvised a short KD and set up Advanced AQT targets at 50 and 100 yds to provide instruction on come ups and confidence at "longer" ranges.  He got that down quickly and after ranging in and out several times, he proceeded to clear the final redcoat after simply adjusting his sights from their 100 yd setting and raining 13 shots onto the advancing Redcoats.  We closed out with shooting RangeRat's M1A and making some real noise.

Thanks to all for coming out this weekend especially Mathieu who kept us from getting blanked.  Vegas Caveman continues to learn and is becoming a regular on the Vegas team.  RangeRat continues in his quest for the elusive green hat.
