It was a great shoot but after the wet cold weather on Saturday I'm not feeling too well today.  Everybody feel free to chime in and I'll be back later.

Thanks to the shooters for braving a very cold and wet Saturday for a successful weekend! Hope to see you all again soon.

Used to ride a Kawasaki Mean Streak motorcycle.  I'm not an angry, naked runner.  :)

Hey all,
So after having a really bad case of the chills yesterday the wife came home and tells me to take my temp and lo and behold I had a fever. I wonder if it is related to this weekend's wonderful weather?  ++)

A great big thanks to all of our shooters this weekend. Congrats to our repeat rifleman, who most definitely earned that winterseed patch on Sat. between the mud, cold rain, and sleet that is one heck of an accomplishment. He then came back on Sunday and was a consistent as anyone I have ever seen shooting rifleman scores all day long.  O0 Not to mention that he brought out a co-worker for the weekend too, thanks guys.

Then there is one tough young lady who hung in there all weekend and who prior to Saturday had never fired a firearm before. We saw some good groups showing up on Sunday and a little more refinement and some .22 ammo downrange and she will make riflewoman some day. She might even get there before her dad.  ;)

I hope I get to see you all again on the appleseed trail.

I would like to send a special thanks to DryFire and Mean Streaker for having us out there and putting us through the paces, especially in light of Saturday's wonderful weather!  It was great to get back out to the range and attend another Appleseed and pick up some very useful pointers.  Thanks for working with me on my cadence and helping me refine my seated position scores, in spite of my "prosperity"  ;).  Although the temperature, rain, sleet, and mud didn't do anything for our comfort or morale, it was a very eyeopening experience and was challenging on both equipment and man.  Apparently throwing loaded magazines into the mud during mag changes isn't a very good idea.

I would also like to thank Art and his daughter for showing up and sticking it out rain or shine.  She's a tough kid, that one.  She also put some hurt on the steel.  I'm also happy to report that my friend Tim is hoping to attend the Piqua shoot with his family in tow.  The great experience and camaraderie is surely to blame.  I hope to see all on the Appleseed trail, sooner rather than later.

Thanks again to the Miamisburg Sportman's Club for hosting us and all the outstanding work folks put in to make for a successful weekend!

So glad to hear that it was a successful weekend in Mburg. So sorry to have missed meeting the strong and clearly determined students that made a personal commitment to be there. Thanks to to DF and MS for instructing this weekend and keeping Ohio AS alive and growing!
