Another one for the history books from the state of Maine. Although a small shoot for space there were no complaints as several students took in their colonial American heritage and the instruction needed in the quest to become a rifleman.

The students ranged in age from 9 to 50 something getting the full dose of SHF"s, the six steps and NPOA before lunchtime. The history lesson came next with an account of what is the start of a long and dangerous road to becoming a free country. Although the low clouds threatened throughout the day there were no downpours and no one leaving early due to the weather.

Sunday started a little cool and damp but turned into a beautiful day with some excellent shooting by those on the line. Sometime around lunch Dan became a rifleman with a score of 213, backing it up with a 225. Nice! BTW, he did it with a CZ bolt with tech sights. Alex, one of the jr shooters changed over to a 10/22 with tech sights and managed some scores in the 170's. Brian pushed it real hard with a 203 late in the day.

This was the first shoot in western Maine in 2 years. Several local folks stopped by at times to take it in and were favorably impressed by it. There is a good possibility of another there in the future, date TBD.

I'd like to thank the shooters that made it, it's a little out of the way but worth it! A special thank you goes out to the host/landowner, Bill, who did a lot of promoting getting 3  junior shooters there and giving Appleseed a new venue.

The AS crew did a great job, both The Old Guide and North Country Lady did their best and made things run smoothly. It was good to work with them again.

Pics should be up soon, regards, Tom.

Hey, Thomas

I'm guessing that, in the bottom picture, you're showing an example of a sling that weighs more than the rifle.  Boy, you guys from CT sure do have an odd sensa yum-uh....

The range, though small, looks pretty nifty.  Safety first.  Good show all around!

Thanks for all your help,  Sean O'
