Calverton has put another very successful Shoot in the books.

We had 31 Shooters on Saturday and 27 returned for another shot at the "Patch" on Sunday.
Sunday we ran 2 lines. We had center fires on 1 line and rim fire on the other.
Dakota did a great job running the center fire line

I have to give a lot of credit to both the Shooters and Instructors, as it was quite warm, well HOT both days. Again they wouldn't quit. If the Range wasn't closing we'd still be there.

We have 4 new Rifleman amongst us.
Ivy, Henry, Frank & Craig.
Henry, Frank & Craig all took the Orange Hat and Ivy wants the Blue Hat.
Blue Hats were also presented to Anniemae, Mary and Janine. Our AppleCore team is growing as fast as our Instructor team.
Welcome to all.

We've got quite a "Crew" at Calverton and looking ahead we're going to need every one of them.
Looks as if we're entering into our "Busy Season".

We're going to need kDan back at Calverton to lend his usual helping hand.
He decided to head upstate this weekend to help out up there. Hurry home brother.
You missed the Saturday evening pool party Dan!

We also had Newsday (the paper that covers Long Island & NYC) stop by and wanted to do an article on the RWVA.
Unfortunately the owner of the Range wouldn't let the Reporter back to the area we use for our Shoot. I didn't know about this until she was gone. I'll be contacting Newsday to see if we can get them out to our next Event which will be our "Ladyseed" in June.

We also had a large turnout of NYC residents come out for this event.
A special thank you has to go out to SunnyAM for starting the flow from the city, east to Calverton.
She has taken a HUGE 7th step.
So....A HUGE "Thank You" for your help.
We'll get that Orange Hat on you yet.
Just for the record she has already shot Rifleman and we have a Hat waiting for her.

I'll continue this AAR and post the photos after some rest so my mind is a little clearer.

Please Stay tuned.....

bravo juliet mike

Another great event at Calverton. Many thanks to Harry the range-owner for his continued partnership with Appleseed. And many thanks to all of the enthusiastic shooters that showed up for the event. Without you we wouldn't have these events. Remember to tell all of your friends and relatives how much you learned and how much fun you had. ABSS: Always Be Seventh Stepping.

No problem CH.

We all know Bob is at every Shoot we have at Calverton.

Last one.  I am sorry for the multiple posts, but I kept getting errors when I attached more than two or three photos at one time.

Congratulations to all our new Rifleman.  And three new IIT's woohoo!

Henry, you went away for a while but I knew you'd be back and I knew you could do it, brother.

I see on the NYS instructor list that the only Blue Hats in the state are Calverton Blue Hats.  Our cup runneth over.

SunnyAM is the best thing that has happened to New York City's Shooting Community since...  well ever!

I missed this one guys, but I'll be back.  You ain't rid of me yet!

Pool party sounds like fun, but I think we need to bring that pool out to the range.  Remember July last year?  O my god.  The oven awaits us o my brothers and sisters.

LadySeed next month folks!  Tell your neighbor!  Bring your wife!  Bring your daughter!  Bring your neighbor's wife and daughter!

over and out
