Boy, is it late after 2 am monday morning. Ahhshoot and I made it home safe and we would like to give a big thankyou to all the shooters who made us Yankees so welcome in the great state of Kentucky Once again we got to bask in the sunshine of true patriots and fellow Americans who are made of the right stuff. Gives us a lot of hope for the future of the Republic. More later and some pics too ColyCat

Okay...here we go. After a 10 hour drive in the pouring rain Colycat and I arrived in Carrolton KY. The rain quit, just as we left the hotel saturday morning, and disappeared for the weekend. We had 17 well armed americans show up to be drenched with a fire hose of instruction. And they took to it well. It was the first time I have ever seen all 6 steps answered correctly by different shooters in a pop quiz. Along with, Colycat, Yellowhousejake, and myself, we had an instructor ambush from Funfaler, and PT6. A special thanks to the range owner Mr. Glauber. Thank you sir... sorry for turning your lovely grass into a mud-bowl. Mr. Glauber's son stopped by sunday afternoon and itroduced himself. He is running for state senate. Coly will post his info and some PICTURES of the shoot. I had a lot of fun this weekend and can't wait to see all you shooters and instructors down the trail.

Thanks to Ahhshoot, Colycat, yellowhousejake and PT6 for stepping up to the need of the Bluegrass state for some Appleseed help! Indeed, the weather gods blessed Kentucky with several inches of rain to make the Appleseed seem at home, though I don't believe a drop fell the entire time on the line. A change in my schedule allowed me to spend some time with the quality folks at the shoot Saturday, it is a blessing to see Appleseed in motion and running smoothly. It was fun to work the history with relative strangers and have it come off as a rehearsed program This club is very Appleseed friendly, pity we are not forcing them to move us to a larger range. At 35, we have yet to fill the line. We can move the line to a location to handle 300+, if we ever need to That is a whole bunch of "waking up" in the Bluegrass.

First thanks to all of you for driving so far to help us. What I learned was invaluable and will be a lifelong skill. I'll be bringing my stepson and at least one other friend to the next Kentucky area class. I fell I truly walked away a better man and a better patriot for what I did and what I learned.
God Bless all of you

Pictures! We don't need no stinkin' pictures.... Thanks all who attended, I had a great time. It was good to see you all stick it out through the cold and wet Saturday to enjoy the fantastic weather Sunday. Even if we did have to create "duck tape" sight hoods to keep shooting right till the sun got low! It was a pleasure to serve as your instructor and I hope to see everyone of you step it to the magic 210 score at a future Appleseed. I will be watching for your pictures on the forum. YHJ

We had a special guest show up on Sunday. His name is Dave Glauber and he is running for KY Senate in the 20 Th. district. This is Bullitt County ( how I like that name ), Spencer, and Shelby County. He is a stand up guy and is doing the 7 Th. step. Check him out, if you are in his district.
