Made Rifleman December 14, 2014 at Ramseur, NC, with a score of 210
~~ Schooner
12/13/2014, Ramseur, 235 Points, CZ455 Training 22lr, Federal Champion 22lr 510, with Scope at 9x
:pop:
12/13/14 - 214 I think...
That would have been back in July or Aug of 2008. (I just remember sweating... a lot) :-)
I scored in the 230's and I used an M1A with S.African mil-surplus ball ammo (iron sights). I spent the 2nd day up at the "big-boy range".
Fred gave me a patch and asked me to be an instructor.
Ramseur KD, November 15/16. 225 with a 20" A2AR service rifle; Federal XM193. It was the last string of fire. I think I actually jumped for joy like a little kid.
Jim
Myakka Gun and Archery Club in Feb 2009. 231 with ruger 10/22 and a scope, pulled out an AR and shot a string in the 2-teens with the carry handle.
amazing what happens when you listen and apply...
January 2008, Ramseur, shot a 217.
Oct2013 score of 224 with a 10/22, Apr2014 score of 212 with a M1a both at Ramseur!
Ramseur, NC March 2013 shot 210 (although that could be argued and was, with the judge)
OK... I just returned from my second Appleseed in Boone NC. Feb 7& 8 2015. I shot a number of AQT's on this seed with the majority of them qualifying. The highest score on the ones scored was 228... and I actually have two or 3 AQT targets that have yet to be scored. The instructors were wearing us OUT. As fast as we cleared the line... Shooters, your prep time begins NOW!!! Load 2 magazines 2 and 8.... Here we go again....
Massive round count shoot and so much fun.....
Charlotte Rifle and Pistol Club-June, 2013, score 229. Ruger 10-22 with 2-7 variable scope (no sling)
Watauga Gun Club, Boone, NC Feb. 7/8, 2015, score 231, Ruger 10-22 with 2-7 variable scope (sling)
Boone was my second AS. Great instructors and lots of fun. I managed to qualify Expert on several AQTs, but the 231 was my highest.
Ramseur, NC Appleseed Home Range, April 18/19. Ruger 10-22 with 2-7 variable scope (sling) We shot far less AQTs than we did at either Charlotte or Boone, but my soreness couldn't tell the difference LOL! I managed my AS high with a 236. The Appleseed Volley at 1600 hrs. was awesome!
Summer 2010? Calverton, LI sandpit. 217 w/ 10-22

Why does this not surprise me?
I first scored Rifleman with a 223 on February 8, 2015 at the Watauga Gun Club in Boone, NC. :---
Great job Joel! It was great meeting you this weekend. Make sure to bring the family next time
PK
I looked it up. It was February 24th, 2013. I think the score was 212. ..:..

New rifleman here 3/31/15 Ramseur RBC score:220 Real name Forrest
Welcome Forrest! Great score
Oct 2014 - Ramseur 229
Ruger 10/22 with iron sights
Next time I will try with a magnifier to see if I can get a higher score.
Ramseur April 18th. First aqt was a 221 followed it up on the first one sunday with a 233. Shooting a Ruger 10/22 scoped. This was the second Appleseed for me, the first one was in Febuary in Boone and I did not qualify.
You did a great job this weekend. Well done.
First time in Ramseur, June 2012.
Again April 19th, 2015 in Charlotte, where I also took my Orange Hat.
Each time with a Marlin 795 with TeshSights.
The Memorial Volley there was also something special.
Charlotte Rifle & Pistol Club on April 18th, 2015 with a score of 212 using a Ruger 10/22 with iron sights.
April two years ago in Charlotte, 216 with a pink 10/22. Again this past weekend, my wife's 10/22.
216 twice. Stuck on that number. Tech sights on both.
What a great bunch of instructors! And great patriots!
Many thanks to Preacher? for his instruction for my daughter. She can't wait to come to the next one, along with my wife and other daughter.
September 1, 2013, Ramseur, 211, Lawrence's 10/22, 4 power scope, Federal Automatch
Charlotte Rifle & Pistol Club in May 2012....210 and 225 Ruger 10/22 with tech sights.
April 19, 2014 Ramsuer best score 242 - cold and rainy
April 19, 2015 Boone only score due to flooding monsoon typhoon - 243
One day I am going to try to go in good weather and shoot several AQTs.
I wonder what the weather was like April 19, 1776 in Concord? If it was like Boone in 2015 we would all still be British.
June 14, 2015, Best Score: 226, Shot at the Charlotte Rifle & Pistol Club, Range Boss was Pain Killer.
Great job RGW! It was a pleasure meeting you.
Ramseur 3/15!Quote from: Gump on April 01, 2015, 11:07:51 PM

Was a lovely spring day, 4/19/2015. Only rained sideways, never upwards. Got out just as river rising
up to the entry road at Watauga Gun Club in Boone, NC. 249 on last course of the day. Scoped 22LR upper on AR lower. Great history lesson NOT taught in schools.
Steve
KD Appleseed in Ramseur July 18-19. This is your opportunity to apply what you have learned and shoot out to actual distance. Sign up today!
Ramsuer 3/15, Engineer Shooting was the SB, I was next to Forrest. Score 211? I think. PHenry sprained his foot. Learned a lot, I'm finally on the forum...
Ramsuer, 9/6/2015, 216 thanks to the loan of a rifle and the great, patient, help from the instructors. I learned what I had hoped to, and appreciate all those who helped. Frank
Last day of Rifleman's Boot Camp (10/9/15) at Ramseur, NC (10-15!). Came close twice during the week, but was quite frustrated at the "WALL." As it turned out this was a good thing because you learn more from failure than immediate success. I concentrated on the essential principles to break through the WALL. Found out on the last day that I was not getting a proper cheek weld from my rifle, which was MY WALL. Bill and his son Will lent me their rifle. It took one AQT to get used to the rifle and the second AQT I scored a 222.
February 2008, 214
Hi folks. Just completed my first Appleseed with ThePoet in the rain and scored my Rifleman patch with scores of 220 and 228 back to back.
Really enjoyed the program and hope to be able to continue to participate as I much as I can.
Thank you very much to all those who volunteered their time, effort and equipment to make such a fantastic weekend possible. I definitely didn't think I'd learn that much going in but the quality of the training and the attention to detail is far and away better than most other training classes I've taken that cost a lot more money.
For now I'll be trying to convince the wife that its a good idea for me to try a winterseed up in Ramseur...I put my odds at about 20:1 ~~:)
Thanks again and hope to see y'all soon.
Thanks for coming out and enduring the rain and cold. You did a great job! We hope to see you and your wife at a future event.

Oct 20, 2012 - Ruger 10/22 "LTR" (Tech Sights).
Uh, score, enough to be a Rifleman :D Seriously forgot. But, I'll never forget shooting that group in my avatar photo - that was from sitting and I hit the 'zone' Rifleman's Cadence and just crushed it. All due to exceptional instruction.
Swung back by tonight planning to bring my Dad to an Appleseed this Spring and to reconnect with this fantastic community.
Ramseur, 20 March 2016, score of 222 - long time coming, lots of assistance, instruction, encouragement, and a polite "boot where it counted" as needed. Terry and Cindy were kind enough to lend me their 10/22 (seeing as my Springfield M1A had ejection issues with the installed scope - not uncommon, I understand), and after a "Redcoat," a sighter square, and a bit of refamiliarizing with a "normal" 10/22 bolt release, hit the required score on 2nd AQT. Great job, Terry, Cindy, Bill, Toy, and Lawrence, and THANK YOU for your patience!
Ramseur, March 20 2016. Scored a 241 on the first AQT of the day - I could not beat that one! (Savage Mk II BTV).
Excellent instruction by all the bosses - Lawrence was shoot boss for the event.
April 17 in Waxhaw, NC. Scored a 222. Had a great time, I'd like to thank Pain Killer and yankeedoodle and the others (I can't remember your forum handles) for such great instruction.
April 17, 2016 at the CRPC in Waxhaw. My score was 216. Thanks to Painkiller I finally made it!! Also thanks to Pelon, Neil, and The Poet for encouraging me!! O0
May 2016 - 216 score at the Home Range in Ramseur.
And very relieved.
Patriots Day 2016 at Ramseur was the first time I shot with a loop sling since leaving the Marine Corps. I don't recall my score, but I seem to have a patch that indicates adequate performance.
Shoot Boss KARDIAC KID and the other instructors did a fine job running the event. They were even kind enough to take a few of us to the KD range. Most importantly, I had a lovely day with my wife.
I believe in the mission of Appleseed and I am willing to contribute. For what it is worth, I am a licensed Attorney. Please let me know how i can help.

I qualified April 19, 2015 in the pouring rain after equipment failures and on a borrowed tricked out 10/22 from Forrest I think? Last AQT of the day and a score 214. Never give up and go home! Doing on Patriots Day weekend was unreal! Sadman was the shoot boss.
Ramseur October 2016 with a score of 220. Engineer shooting was the SB.
Qualified today at Ramseur with a score of 213. Woot!
Mike

Don't remember the scores, but I met some awesome folks!
After two Appleseed events I hit rifleman on December 3, 2017. I was on the range down on Waxhaw, NC at Charlotte Rifle and Pistol club.
I had so much fun and will probably keep coming back for fun.

Had a blast and cant wait to do it again
Checking in from the Triad area.
I participated in my first Appleseed event this past weekend, 9-10 March 2019, down in Martin, Georgia. I shot a 217 on my 3rd AQT attempt and that was followed by a 220. As mentioned this was my first Appleseed. I want to attend an event in Ramseur as it is only an hour from me and I need to get a "Distinguished" tab ;)
20190428 - Charlotte Rifle and Pistol Club - shot 224 with a Ruger 10/22 and tech sights.
