Hey Montana... Save a place on the line for me! I'm planning a move to God's country in the next couple years. The wife and I will be there next summer for a couple months looking for the right spot somewhere WNW. In the mean time, I'm watching your schedule to see if there are some AS opportunities while there. It would be good to meet up with you folks.
Best to all, SheepDog

You guys are AWESOME! thanks for using the forum. Have any of you guys been doing recruiting? I am in the beginning stage of getting shoots together so I will need help with contacts.

been recruiting shooters, have a few waiting to attend the next AS.

have a few coming over for a mini sometime after hunting season as they want familiarization with the course of fire.

I lure new shooters in with the prospect of shooting a subgun, once they do that they're usually hooked.  Big targets up close and full auto = instant gratification.  Then present the challenge of smaller targets at greater distance with precision fire.  The subgun is the bait.......

I live near Bozo too.  Took six guys out to the Samuel Whittemore range a few weeks back for a taste of AS.  Went to watch the Cat/Griz fiasco last weekend and sat next to the Mayor of Belgrade on the bus on the way over.  Methinks' he's hooked on our next Appleseed.  I'll be working over the winter to get some folks committed to the Boot Camp.

Keep going boys and build your numbers. The program will draw them in once they see the results and personal improvement.  If any of you have good input on the best place to live in MT send me a PM. Thanks...Mike

hmmmmmm...don't like the Griz huh?! Well we might have some rivalry goin' here. It is weird, they have a great range (at least they used to) but not much of a shooting community to speak of. We might have to see what we can do to change that.

Thanks everyone for your willingness to share advice. I'll PM in the future.

Gun shows are a good place to seed. Looking forward to one this weekend. We have a table and some handouts. Plus I'm going to run a slide show on the computer. Pics of AS events.

Yes indeed rally MT! I'm working on getting a friend from Crook Co., WY to one of the shoots. He would be a great advocate of the program.

Later and Tnx agn, Mike

The new generation, a few years outa collage love stickers and stick them everywhere, advertiseing for concerts, sports, churches, you name it them make em. well anywayas back to my point this sticker generator that i looked at online costs only $25 for 100 bumper stickers now with a catchy phrase these could be a great, relatively cheap way to advertise.http://www.stickerjunkie.com/generator.php if i was in the states i would print up a order and stick them under windsheild wipers at gunshows lightpoles outside of gunshops,  benches at gunranges....ect...im real new so i dont know of any catchy phrases to use or if this has been tried before, sounds like a good idea to me

As long as the "brand" isn't in a "vandalisim" type spot, enjoy!

See ya'all in the spring.

Sheepdog, plan on heading out with me for the Third Anual Samuel Whittamore Memorial Range RBC in Three Forks, most likely 2nd week of May.  Also, Kurt has family among us Lost in Suck, who he needs to get to Ottowa.

Three Forks is nice, about 40 minutes from Bozoland, and the hosts there can't be beat.  Tied, maybe, but not beat.  Besides, 1000 yards.....?  Not to be turned down.

Hey guys.  I'm from Texas, but my father-in-law lives just outside Bozeman.  He's visiting down here and will be at the appleseed shoot in Davilla this weekend.  He said he's been meaning to get involved, but he won't use Paypal (don't ask).  We paid for him.

Now that he's in, he's really excited.  If someone will PM me, I will send his email address and when he'll be back in state.  He's retired, lives by himself most of the time and wants to get involved.

Clodhopper is near Bozeman, so is Shootimus Maximus.  Shootimus is out of CONUS right now, but will be back again soon.  MT Shooter is in Bozman

Any can help, and all three are A+ individuals.

Excellent!  I would rate my father-in-law as a B individual.

How long do I have until I can't edit my posts anymore?

He's a great guy whose retirement hobby is making lamps and bowls from wood.  Some are very good.  Just expect to receive some bowls every time you see him.  He's supposed to be making some wooden replacements for the handles on my La San Marco espresso machine.  Once he's done that he'll definitely be A+.  Until then, it's a B.

I would be remiss if I didn't take the time to toot the Appleseed horn here, but I have had the opportunity to take a few folks out and show them the Appleseed Way over the past few months, and it is here that I will pat them on the back in anticipation of them being at the next Samuel Whittemore shoot in May.

One of the guys took his new found knowledge to Alaska this fall where he shot a full-curl Dahl Sheep at a little over 360 yards with his 300 Win Short Mag. He thanked me with maybe the best burger I've ever had......and the promise of coming to an Appleseed.  He followed that hunt up this fall with a cow elk at over 300 yards that he said he never would have taken without his brief training.  And, even tho' he/she was in a precarious position ( which resulted in 4 scope bites) he was confident he would bring her to the freezer.....which he did.

Another friend of mine drew an elusive/rare moose tag around here this fall. Knowing I'd been through the Appleseed Boot Camp, he asked if I would give him some pointers, which I was glad to do......duh.  Well, he just called me, questioning the techniques that Appleseed offers, based on something he'd just read from "gunsite".  (ya gotta know this guy to understand his methodology).  Anywho..... after working with him for just half a day on the range, his groups went from about 8 inches at 25 meters to under an inch, wikki-wikki.  Boy was he surprised at his ability to hit stuff a little further out, thanks to 6 simple steps and a little NPOA.  Anyway, I patiently listened to him tell me about the difference between "their" technique and ours, and when he finished, simply asked "how big was that moose you shot a few weeks back, and how comfortable were you taking the shot"?  There was a pause......and then he said " yeah.....'yer right".

Now, I'm not one to shop around much.....'specially if I'm already a fan of what it is I've already got.  I'm what you would call a dedicated shopper.......take care of me....I take care of you.  Well, by the end of the conversation, my good friend was once again seeing the glaring light that had been causing him to squint since our time together back in those hot days in July on the range, and he is looking forward to the next Boot Camp in May.

Don't much plan on doing any research on "Gunsite".....not too sure if they offer the important stuff along with the skills they teach.....I do, however, plan on spreading more of the Appleseed Message.  Matter of fact, I just came back from Malta, Montana (not really a destination location here) where I took a couple of our Hunters Safety kids pheasant hunting on a National Wildlife Refuge.  Cost me a couple of vacation days, but I got a chance to stay with a guy who writes a weekly syndicated outdoor column that appears in our local rag.  Great guy, and potential Appleseeder.

Drive to Malta:  little over 350 miles (5 and half hours in a blizzard on the way back)
Gas: $100
Pheasants: 150
Hunters Safety kids/pheasants: 1
Number of Potential Appleseeders: Who Knows

keep up the good work all,
kb

Glocker21,

MTGlass here.  I'm just down 6th from you.  High Ore has been my "home court" for the last 20 years.  Hopefully our buddy Flint will drag his new M1A out this spring.   ;D

The LCH annual meeting should be coming up this month.  Appleseeders will want to have a spot on the agenda.  BTW, There are rumors that the number of High Ore Cowboy shoots may be reduced to two this year.

Keep me posted if you're interested in approaching FWP about presenting Appleseed as an opportunity for marksmanship training to the spring hunter safety classes.

Do you happen to have the date for LCH meeting? I would like to do a presentation on Appleseed.

As for Flint...lil mister needs to definitely show the M1a some love.

FYI We have shoots on the calendar for May, June, September so far.

We're startin' to crowd the date of our May shoot at the Samuel Whittemore Range just outside of beautiful/bountiful Three Forks, Montana.  It's not too early to start getting the info out.  Shootimus is out of town for another few weeks, so's maybe Glocker/Clodhopper/myself/ and others could get together sometime soon (snowing here in Helena today) and come up with a game plan.

Thank you for the invite, but there is no way my folks would allow me to travel 300 miles with somebody they do not personally know.
I guess i will just have to read up all i can on marksmanship on the internet unless eventually a Appleseed comes to my area.

dothat......study up on the appleseed project, keep in contact, and as the program grows, it no doubt will spread to your area.  There are a lot of quality folks involved here, some who've become good friends after just one shoot/camp with them, and I'm fortunate to call them friends.  Utilize your local range and shoot hundreds of rounds of ammo........but........use this site to make sure those shots are all quality shots.  Nothing beats an Appleseed Camp to really teach you to shoot, and what it means to be an Appleseeder, but this site is a great start.  Keep in touch, and who knows, maybe an Appleseed event will come your way in the near future.

Ahhhhh springtime in Montana!

Well gang.....with just a couple of days before our BC/AS here in beautiful/bountiful southwest Montana, I thought I'd send a shout out to you folks making the trek up here to help make this the best Appleseed camp in Montana.
First.....the weather......in a nutshell, crappola for the rest of this week, and I won't even look at the Saturday/Sunday/next weeks forecast until we get closer to the weekend.

It's snowing/freezing rain and a balmy 31 right now, and I would pack my bags to reflect this time of year.  With that said, it could very well be in the 70's by next week, so bring the appropriate clothes just in case.

Camping will be available at Shootimus' place again this year, with that state of the art shower set up.  Like last year, we'll have the fire pit and that great big shop to work on our tools, shoot the BS and engage once again in good comraderie and catching up with old/new friends.

Heard a rumour The Guy will be rolling in Friday, maybe Saturday.  Shootimus (maybe Clodhopper?) and I will be working on the range all day Saturday....so's if your in the neghborhood, swing on by.

We all look forward to a very productive get together and a lot of holes really, really close to each other.....a long way out.

see you soon,
kb

YES!  Looks like the weather might cooperate a little bit around here for you folks.  It's about stinkin' time.  Those of you who are fixin' to do camp time at Shootimus' place, should probably give us a heads up in advance, so's we can strategerize where we're gonna put everybody.  If you plan on coming to the AS on the 9th and 10th, you should definately plan on coming up/over/down on Friday to get settled in.  (mtmisfit)
We're hoping to have a first class (oh....that's right.....Guy's gonna be here).....dandy get together next week/weekend and hope to have a full line.....can't hardly wait!

see you soon,
kb

I  look forward to seeing everyone there. I will not make the week but I will make the weekend event. My recovery is doing well but I am still not allowed to prone out for another 4-6 weeks.

We'll be pulling in Friday evening.
We have a 26' bumper pull trailer if that helps with the planning any. (The wife won't do tent camping any more)

By now the weekend gathering has finished up with their important work in southwest Montana.  Bummer I couldn't be there for it.

Just got this dang electronic communcation system up and running from our vaction destination (finally).....and, over an early morning cup of joe, have had a chance to reflect on last weeks get-together at the Samuel Wittemore Memorial Range in Montana.

Just a couple of thoughts, really.

First......thanks, and a hearty round of huzzahs to Shootimus Maximus and his family.  Without them there would be no SWMR.  Sorry Shootimus couldn't be there himself (some folks have to work ya' know), but his bride, and mom and dad (and Super Dog, Wilson, Lucy, Roscoe and other 4 legged critters) made all of us more than welcome.

Thanks to all who helped out setting the camping up, getting the range ready, and helping out with the logistics......what a great location, huh?

Big shout out to the instructors, who took time out of their busy lives to assist us mountain boys and girls in the lost art of shooting a rifle properly, and the even finer art of being good Americans!  (Guy, Sheepdog, Smilin' Dan, Dinky, Neil, and just before I had to leave....Wheeler)....I soooooo appreciate the shooting skills, rifle maintenance help, guidance, patience, sense of humor, and humility you all bring to this program.

Thanks to all the folks who showed up for the weeklonger......some familiar faces, Pah Rah and Mike.....Clodhopper and Glocker. The always welcome new faces that add to the Appleseed mix.......Collin, Cliff......Sheila, Cuz, old Colin, Dillon and more.  It was interesting to note just how different Appleseeders are in their personal lives, and yet, how similar we are when it comes to how we view freedom.....and liberty.  Amazing how these little get-togethers can do that to a person.

The weather could've been a whole lot better, but it sure could've been worse too.  Windy, sometimes blustery, and sometimes downright rain blowing sideways was kinda the norm for most days.....but, that's typical for this time of year.  What was most impressive is, no matter what mother nature was dishing out, our instructors tucked their chin into their collar and plunged on.....and the campers followed suit.  That's good coaching!

I was impressed too with how everybody pitched in to make sure the range was well taken care of!  Policing the brass and picking up the trash is a big part of making sure we have the opportunity to use this ground again in the future......it's much appreciated.

The spaghetti feed was outstanding, the hospitality was equally as good......the story telling and the laughs sealed the deal.
I enjoyed seeing and catching up with how things are with folks I hardly know.....but do......and looking forward to the same things with those I don't.....Appleseed tends to do that to people it seems.

I truly look forward to seeing all of you again.....and to those of you I haven't met yet.

If any of you who were at this camp are interested in this post......follow up on it by thanking Shootimus and his family......our instructors, and the Appleseed Project.

Then, spread the Appleseed word.....get involved........get other folks involved.

This is good stuff.

I have to fully agree with MT Shooter...

The week was a wonderfull success. I have heard nothing but terrific comments from the participants about the Range, the instruction, the camaraderie of shoters, and the historical lessons provided.

I spoke with several of the Kalispell shooters and they are super fired up about getting a range going up there and hosting an Appleseed in the future...Huzzah!

As MT Shooter said, The weather could've been a whole lot better, but it sure could've been worse too.  The wind was there in abundance for most days.....but, that's typical for this time of year, wait 15 minutes and it might change.  I was very very pelased to see out instructor staff take it all in stride and keep on keeing on as it were.

I received a report of everyone policing the brass and picking up the trash is a testiment of people worrying about making things right so that we will be able to to use this site again next year.

MT Shooter was doinga fine job of keeping everyone in stiches with his snake stories. Wackin and whoppin'...man that was funny, although I think MT Shooter may have caused internal injuries to Pa Rah with all jokes and Pa Rah's laughter.

Clodhoppers grandson was quite the neat little fellow, lvoes his grandpa and I think especially the trigger time with his grandpa. Great job Clodhopper.

I truly look forward to seeing all of you again.....and to those of you I haven't met yet.

Time to start planning for next year...if the Beardsley's will put up with us again.

But until then...see you in Boulder on June 6-7, 2009 and September 5-6, 2009.

I hope to get some more shoots on the schedule in the coming months. If you want to have a mini appleseed just let me know and I will see what I can do to help you out.

Keep shooting, and always persevere!

Hello MT friends. Everything is sold or under contract to sell. Should be enroute to God's country the first of Aug. Headed through Bozo, 3 Forks, and points west... eventually to the Flathead valley. Looking forward to seeing you all again. Also always looking for a place to park a 32' 5th wheel. :)  If there are no hookups that's ok, we can just let the sewage run off on the surface. **)  Ahhh yea, just kidding. The wife and I specialize in low impact visits.
Keep your powder dry. Best, Sheepdog.

If you come rolling by the Helena area and need a place to take a break give me a call....anytime.  Just give me a few minutes notice, like call from the bottom of the hill not the driveway.  :)  Won't be any different than my pager going off.

Hey there Brice! Welcome to Montana Appleseed. Hmmmm nope, we have not done a shoot at Blue Creek...yet. Shoot me an email at mt@appleseedinfo.org and I will get you as much info as you can handle. Maybe together we can get Blue Creek going with Appleseed...what do you think? At the moment I am working with the Yellowstone Gun Club and the Billings gun club to get shoots going in those two locations.

Feel free to browse the forums, you will learn alot about Appleseed, History of 19April 1775, and marksmanship in general.

Hope to hear from you soon~

Hey Guys,

My name is Aeron, and I attended the April 17-18 shoot at Three Forks, my first Appleseed. I was the guy shooting the AR-15 with the muzzle break that nobody wanted to shoot next to, except Misfit! Overall I had a great time, ended up with my Rifleman patch, and an orange hat! You like me, you really like me!! I am hoping to recruit a few more people that I know for some more events in the future. I think I have a buddy heading to the may shoot in Billings, and one or two heading to Boulder so far. I will try to make as many as I can, but running a small business and a 7 month old daughter takes up a lot of time on the home front. But I built the darn gun to shoot it, so I suppose I should shoot it, right?!?!

Anyway, great to be here, and I hope to get to know all of you better in the future!

On a more administration note, why can't I post whereever I want on the forums? I am a mod for another board, and restricting people's ability to post defintely shoos them away. It already pisses me off, I know! /rant

A bolt action will do, and in the end make you more competent than semi-auto. But you may have second thoughts along the way.

Ismith,  I tried to use a bolt action rifle on an Appleseed...  Not saying it can't be done, but wow.  I was doing "OK" with the shots fired, but could not get all my shots off.  The AQT is very fast paced, the target acquisition and reloading is hard enough with a semi-auto, cycling a bolt makes it even harder.  I swapped to my semi-auto the second day and never looked back...

Welcome to Appleseed! I hope to see you in Boulder. I have to agree with both Clodhopper and Crusader. Bolt action will force you to slow down a bit an make better shots BUT as Crusader said the AQT is VERY fast paced.

I'm with clod, glocker and crusader. If you struggle with shooting too fast rather than taking your time, a bolt gun can be a good training aid, but it also provides a small hurdle to jump over since AQTs can be "rushed" even with a semi-auto. Go ahead and bring your bolt gun (with a sling, of course, and peep sights if you can get 'em); if nothing else, clod or I (or someone else no doubt) can loan you a semi-auto.

Hey there Montana....I'm only kinda a Mt. Appleseeder...I say ..Bring the bolt rifle...If you can "run the gun" it will not be too hard.....Just remember that on the "Timed" stages 8x5=40....10x3=30..It's better to make fewer shots on target than more misses...I know several many shooters that scored rifleman with a bolt rifle...

geez guys... what's wrong with coming to an Appleseed and getting better at using your rifle?  making Rifleman is a goal, but it's not the only goal.
there's nothing wrong with bringing a bolt-action rifle.

Alltho not from MT (your stuck with me this weekend) I have personaly timed and scored a Riflemans score done with a single shot  bolty rifle  (note I did not shot the score I just added it up) and even with some shots not made (ran out of time )  good hits count better then fast shots.

Going to try to make the shoot in Boulder on 17th and 18th of July, work permiting.  Would a bolt action .22 work for the short stuff?

ismith,

Bring the bolt gun, where'd you get the idea it wouldn't work? Shots on target count, faster shots that don't connect don't.

Shoot the best shots you can on stages 2 & 3, 8 - 4's are better than 10 = 3's, and take your time on stage 4.

Yes, I fired rifleman on my first AQT with a CZ452 bolt gun. Slow is smooth and smooth is fast.

Shooting rifleman is a goal, but not the only goal.  I'll take someone who keeps at it and keeps progressing who doesn't shoot rifleman over someone who shoots rifleman twice out of 50 tries and calls it good.

Shooting a rifleman score is not the same as being a Rifleman.

One last thing, shooting is a mental game. If you tell yourself you are going to have trouble with a bolt gun, you won't disappoint yourself. Stop thinking about it and shoot.

I am with Wheeler44 - bring your bolt action, if it is a clean operating one and you are happy you will score Rifleman. Kind of like the difference between a standard transmission and an automatic - one is easier but both will do the job, and for certain things using your gears will help you in different situations that more gasoline and higher revs won't.

8x5=40 and 10x3=30, but we do know one should make their shots count, center hits in a tight group is the way to go.

Hi Appleseeders,

I'm a member of Sons of The American Revolution. I have several Patriots in my family tree. One of my Grandfathers was a Minuteman and fought at the battle of Kings Mountain in 1780. My family was also involved in the ratification of the constitution, one of my Grandfathers was a delegate in NC and served at the ratification convention. My GGG Grandfathers (Blackstone Hardeman Jr.) J.C. Short, 50 Cal. Kentucky long rifle is on display at the Nacogdoches, Texas visitors center. I come from a long line of shooters for whom if it were not for their skills in such I may not be here today.

I served in the USANG during the first Gulf War. During Infantry Training at Ft. Benning I qualified expert, one of 19 men out of 250 to do so. I believe that our shooting heritage needs to be promoted and preserved. I'm happy to have found like minded Americans.  I hope to do my part in helping out, if anyone needs help with anything let me know.

We are having a shoot at Great Falls the weekend after the foruth, hope you can come out and meet the Montana appleseeders.
If you have never been to an appleseed shoot we have a method to our way.
Nothing like comming to a couple shoots to get a handle on the process.
Experienced shooters are very welcome (and usually have cool gear to covet)

Thanks for the welcome and invitation. Currently I do not own any firearms lol. a recent divorce set me back to the stone age. I do fortunately have all my survival gear and cleaning kits. I'm looking for something that shoots maybe a nice 22 or some kind of affordable no frills rifle, not really looking for anything specific just something that is in good working condition. I had the good stuff and miss it all especially the Winchester 270 the Winchester 30-30 and Glock Model 17. Those were my favs of all the weapons I had. Starting over sucks but I'm way happier, lol.  ..:..

Something fun... I found out today that I have another Revolutionary War Patriot in my family tree this time through my GGG Grandmothers side.

James Hunter was a distinguished patriot, soldier, and public official. He was born 8 April 1740 in Hunterton County, New Jersey. He is thought to have moved South with his cousins, James and Alexander Martin (their mother was Jane Hunter, James' aunt). All three distinguished themselves with public careers. His home was located about five miles northwest of present-day Madison, NC (this area was Rowan County, NC, until Guilford County was formed in 1771, then became Rockingham County in 1785). The first deed in Guilford County that refers to him says he is "of Guilford County" (Deed Book 1: page 176) dated 11 August 1772. There is some indication that he may have lived in Bedford County, VA, before settling in North Carolina. He married Mary McFarland in what must have been quite a romance--her sister Rachel married his brother John. Hunter renounced Allegiance to the King of England and took the "Oath of Allegiance to the Colonies" in Salisbury, September 1776. During the Revolutionary War, Major Hunter played an important role as a militia member, entering as a major in the company of his cousin, Col. James Martin. They fought in the Battle of Guilford Courthouse, serving as militia under General Greene. After Guilford Courthouse, General Greene dispatched Hunter with a message to General Washington who was in New Jersey, "a dangerous and arduous journey." His faithful servant, Sam, who spoke of the experience in later years, accompanied him. He later was involved in the colonial occupation of Wilmington. Hunter served the public the rest of his life as a congressman (representing Guilford County in the State House of Commons, 1778-1782), High Sheriff, treasurer, auditor, court justice (1790-92 at Salisbury) and committee member (1795) on laying out lots of acreage at Rockingham County Courthouse. He also helped lay out the county's borders. When the new county was formed, he was appointed Justice of Peace for Rockingham County at the first session of Court in February 1786. He remained a militia member, promoted to Lt. Colonel of Rockingham County in 1787. He continued as a public servant until overtaken by age. He died of pneumonia 30 January 1821. His wife, Mary, was born 4 February 1743 and died 29 May 1821. They are both buried in the Hunter-Dalton Graveyard near his old Beaver Island home outside Madison, NC. This graveyard is still accessible and the stones are still readable. He and his wife had the following children: 1) Mary McFarland Hunter, born 7 September 1763, who married William Deering; 2) John Hunter, a twin, born 2 March 1769, who married Miss McNairy in Tennessee; 3) James Hunter, a twin, born 2 March 1769, who was killed by Indians; 4) Alexander Hunter, born 8 November 1772, who died unmarried in an accidental death in Tennessee; 5) Rachel Hunter, born 30 November 1774, who married Nicholas Dalton; 6) Samuel Hunter, born 4 February 1777, who married Rebecca Bruce; 7) Elizabeth Hunter, born 2 September 1779, who died at a young age; 8) Dr. Robert Hunter, born 16 June 1782, who married his cousin, Fannie Martin, daughter of James8, who died young. http://www.patriotresource.com/amerrev/battles/guilford/page2.html (http://www.patriotresource.com/amerrev/battles/guilford/page2.html)

Just completed my first Apple Seed at Columbia Falls. It was Great!. I believe a good time was had by all and the weather was very well behaved as well. Granted there was some hot brass down the shirt collar but with all the  :--- lead flying who had time to notice.  The hiStory lessons during the breaks were very informative.
Before attending one of these events, it's one of those "I didn't know what I didn't know." about shooting. The biggest thing I learned was NPOA. And the second important thing is how to use the sling.

Thank You Apple Seed

commostud - When do you get discharged from the Army?  If you are still in the western Washington neighborhood in early September, it would be a privilege to have you join us for a shoot in Ariel, WA.

KingsMountainMinuteman - Hope you can make it to an Appleseed soon.  I'm sure you will enjoy being around other like-minded patriots.  It honors our forefathers when we help others discover their heritage and the role rifle marksmanship played in this nation's birth.

macgyver - Welcome to the forums.  Were you able to help at the second Columbia Falls shoot?  lumberjack55 is the instructor who approached the gun club and got those events on the calendar.

Blueroze - Glad you had a great experience at CF.  Like you, Appleseed helped me understand that "I didn't know what I didn't know" both in terms of marksmanship and our American heritage.  As a result I am encouraging as many folks as I can to come with me on the Appleseed Trail.  Perhaps there are more shoots in your future?

Greetings Montana Marksmen,

I'm discharging out of the Army, and I should be moving into our new place right before Independence Day.  My Wife Kim (Forum Name: Pure Sass) and I will be living in Belgrade.  I look forward to meeting and working with all of you.

I've just completed the Instructor PC, and I was just presented the Red Hat from the crew in Southern New Mexico.  I imagine that there may be differences between the events in New Mexico and the events in Montana, so I will be arriving with a teachable attitude while I learn how best to contribute to your team.

I just signed up to work the Great Falls Event on July 20-21.  I hope to bring some family members with me to get their first bite of the Apple.

Patriotically,

I attended my first Appleseed shoot in Three Forks this past May.  Had a great time, and I've been telling all my friends and family about the program ever since, although I don't think I'm going to be able to make the next event.  But I look forward to the next one that I can make, and get my wife and daughter to shoot as well.

I live in Harrison, MT.  If you don't know where that is, that's OK.  Neither do I.  If you do know where it is and are interested in moving, my house is for sale.  ;)
