New IITs,
First, thank you for signing up. We hope you will continue your growth with us in the near future. Together, all our little bits can combine into one BIG bit.
There is such a flurry of activity at an Appleseed, that paperwork for a new Volunteer can fall through the cracks. Help us help you for a moment, if you please. If you do not see "Instructor In Training" under your screen name within the next week, please post here on this thread, so that we can fix the oversight.
Also, send a Private Message to dond (https://appleseedinfo.org/smf/index.php?action=pm;sa=send;u=361) and make sure to include the Shoot Boss, in the TO: block, for the event where you volunteered at. If you don't know the SB's forum name, just share the city/state and date of your event.
We need to know who you are, so we can help you help us.
Thanks again for joining the Appleseed Team.
Someday that Instructor inspiring the next generation will be you.
Guy
I am a retired IIT and I want to get back on the horse. I'm moving to northeast AR and would like to be able to reach out to someone there and continue on the path of becoming an instructor. I am posting here because I am not able to send private messages on the forum anymore.
Good afternoon, Rifleman Chris :) It took me a minute to realize that you're MY Rifleman Chris!
Always happy to hear about a former volunteer who'd like to rejoin us (especially one I helped get in a hat ;) ). For starters, let's put you in touch with your Arkansas State Coordinator. That's SticksNStones. He'll be able to connect you with your local team, and get you back into "active" status.
I'll reach out to Sticks and let him know you're in his back yard.
I'm an ITT. I've read several posts stating the benefits of attending an IBC. When I go to the registration page it says private event. Register only if you have been invited. How does one go about being invited.
Maddog - you can register for the IBC by clicking on the TIPS forum and it will take to the information page and where you sign up for shoots. The first thing down in RED is where to sign up for an IBC or an online class. You can search for and register for your local IBC there. The IBC will be very beneficial for you on your instructor journey.
Thanks - MattNH

I have been able to get to the registration page with no problem but it says "Register only if you have been invited". Do I actually need an invitation?
No

Our brilliant orange hats are all the invitation we need. :)
It says Private since our registration system is used for Tickets for both Appleseeds and IBCs.
The 'Private Flag' keeps it from showing up on the public website. Most SBs don't want the general public signing up. And the way some people act nowadays a non instructor might sign up for the heck of it.
Now an IBC can be shown to the public. It's not Private. Myself I'd rather not do that. So I automatically just set IBCs as private. Unless told otherwise.
Thank you
That orange cap is sharp looking. But I'm a cap geek and I like orange.
